"Kashif" (1983) I see his self-titled album from 1983 is being re-released. Is it any good?

This is one of my favorite 80s R&B albums! Kashif had his own distinctive sound, consisting of breathy background vocals, lots of synths, and catchy hooks that stay in your head all day long. This album is EXCELLENT.I love the first four songs: "Don't Stop My Love","Stone Love","Lover Turn Me On (I Just Gotta Have You)" and "Help Yourself To My Love".In 1983,this was a cool album to have in your collection. Will there be any bonus tracks on the re-issue?

I remember Kahif being all over the radio back then but I honestly can't remember any of the songs. I do remember how I felt about his music at the time...I could take it or leave it. Andy is a four letter word.

You don't remember "I Just Gotta Have You"?? You probably remember many of the songs he produced for other artists. He had his own distinctive sound: "So Fine" by Howard Johnson (1982) "Love's Comin At Cha" by Melba Moore (1982) "I'm In Love" by Evelyn King (1981) "Love Come Down" by Eveyln King (1982) "Inside Love (So Personal)" by George Benson (1983) "Livin For Your Love" by Melba Moore (1984) I think he also produced "You Give Good Love" for Whitney Houston

I can take or leave "Love's Comin' At Cha" and "Love Come Down". I think he also produced "You Give Good Love" for Whitney Houston
That's probably what's blocking him from my memory. Andy is a four letter word.

"Are You the Woman" - that's my fave Kashif cut.
From time to time, I gig with the keyboardist who replaced him in the B.T. Express when Kashif went solo. Last I heard (this was last year) Kashif was working on some new material with his old band. My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth

I just recently found out a month ago that kashif produced him. His production with evelyn king is classic and his memorable duet love changes with melissa morgan. I liked his song stone love a lot but unless you were a die hard fan not many of his songs stuck with you. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

As I said before, he got a lot of radio airplay in my area but I never really liked his stuff enough to go out and spend money on it. The only song of his that I can think of is "Baby Don't Break Your Baby's Heart" and I really didn't care for it too much. Andy is a four letter word.

And a slammin' duet with her on "Thinking About Ya" I keep demanding that Vainandy listen to Whitney's "Thinking About You".It's the one song by her that he would probably like Kashif does a great job on the production, and it's not as "pop-ish" as her other singles. It's actually my favorite song from her debut album.... just like a river of wine, you intoxicate my mind I'm thinking about you (that's what I wanna do) Pick me up,let's go down I'm thinking about it too

My favorite Kashif song: "Stone Love" (1983):
