What I don't understand is why when the media says something bout JT, everyone jumps on the JT hate bandwagon, but not the media who said it????

from what I've gathered JT just does his stuff and entertains like janet, madonna mariah whitney and gwen. so why the hate? JT is just performing and recording and making music like every other pop star.

What a joke, though. It's like in 1983 calling Brian Setzer the new Chuck Berry (and that's still overly generous to Justin, considering that Brian Setzer is very talented).

But Justin is contributing absolutely nothing to the craft of music. He's just copying his idol and stealing his band. He's barely passable, merely competant.

I wouldn't call Justin the new Prince, but I wouldn't insult JT by calling him the new Usher or Chris Brown either. Justin actually plays piano and guitar and writes alot of his music....Usher and Chris Brown well, all they do is dance. Usher has been out for years and I've never seen him play a single instrument, which is sad and shows just how 'talented' Usher aka "Curious George" really is . Now, Chris Brown is the new Usher. The Justin/MJ comparison was stupid too, because MJ doesn't play instruments either and they really aren't anything alike. Sorry, but people are hating on Justin for what? The man has written and co-produced on both his albums. He's a talented guy and he works hard, so I'm not going to hate on him like that. He goes on stage and does his job to the fullest so I have to give him respect, but hey, that's just me

Now, maybe it's just me. I can't play a note of anybody's instrument. But he's not really convincing me he can play that thing. I could be wrong.

I personally know people better at playing guitar and piano/keyboards than Justin Timberlake. I can think of 10 of them off the top of my head. He's about as much as a "musician" as Madonna when she decides to strum a bit very slowly. At least Usher isn't pretending. At least MJ tinkers around in the studio but doesn't try to play live since he's not as good or confident as the band.

JT picking up a guitar reminds me of the time Take That tried to cover Smells Like Teen Spirit in concert and created a "mosh pit" of 12 year old girls accompanied by their parents chaperoning them all there.
