"Heartbreak Hotel" (you damn right I'm calling the song from its GIVEN title)

Yep, the Jacksons don't get enough credit as it is. Full of fire, heart and soul...

Daggonit, stop confusing me! You know it took me YEARS to find that song again!

lol

Pretty much anything from the "Going Places" album.
What I love about Mike's vocals here (actually, on all the pre-Triumph Jacksons albums, but especially this one,) is that you get a rare glimpse of MJ's raw vocal talent as an adult. They may not be the best songs or even his best vocals, but to hear this unbuffered, soulful, funky young man destroy song after song ("Find Me a Girl," "Music's Taking Over"...) is a real treat.
Michael never stopped!

I agree with you. A lot of people didn't even mention songs from this album. They arten't the best songs, but Mike was KILLIN' on them. From what I've read and heard from others this is probably on the LEAST favorite Jackson albums (2300 Jackson Street being the other) but I love it. Different Kind of Lady was especially funky (and it was written by Mike!)

I'll say "Good Times," because it's the first group's first post-Motown album and their voices were starting to mature under the Gamble/Huff sound.

I like this one too. I made a beat this summer called "Explorin Love" wink

Ah, quit hatin'. They're fun. If you don't like 'em, you don't have to post on them (Although I know to some extent that you do have to read them). Let us have our fun!!! biggrin

I, for one, am not ashamed to say that I like The Jacksons just as much as I like Prince.

Well, quite frankly I think these threads are the best kind of threads about the Jacksons, they are definetly the most civil and respectable.

I too love the Going Place album, it's full of soul and funk and I too believe that it is Michael at his most soulful. Find me a Girl and Even though your Gone are underrated slow jams. I also love the actual album cover.

lol Agreed. I love Jackson threads like these that focus on the music. They don't bother me at all but that's probably 'cause i'm a big fan.
"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always heart
