CROWDED HOUSE kicked ass last nite at the Beacon Theater

Just an amazing show, i always like them but i just was blown away at their musicianship and humour and things like that. Pete Yorn and Liam Finn opened the show and Crowded House didnt get on stage till 9:40, but they played till close to Midnight including 2 encores. They played a combo of Old faves and some great new songs from the new CD which is amazing. If they come to your town go see them!

Time On Earth sounds more like a Neil Finn's solo project than a classic CH album but it's a moving beautiful album. They don't play in France sad

Totally agree.

For me, Together Alone was the pinnacle.

I saw them live in London last month and they were great.

nod I was there as well. I've seen Neil solo and with Tim a number of times, but there's something even more special about a Crowded House gig. Seeing Nick Seymour finally was a dream come true -- he's a very underrated bassist. I got my copy of the vinyl album signed by all four band members. I was at both Beacon shows and the one in Philly - 3 gigs in 3 nights! woot! I didn't get my request of "Whispers and Moans," but everything else was absolutely perfect.

I think Time on Earth sounds sufficiently like Crowded House. All of their albums (and Neil's solo work) sound different. If I were to compare it to any previous album, I would have to say the melancholy mood is closer to Temple of Low Men than anything else.

Yeah i agree too, i loved how the show was structured too, they got Dont dream its over, pretty early in the set which i thought was good, alot of times when i see bands that have had a few big hits in America they tend to build the show up to that, but i much rather them getting it done quick since they have so many more amazing songs, and the closer "Better Be home soon" amazing!! Reminded me of when i saw a-Ha back in 2005 at Irving Plaza, the crowd was singing word for word every frigging song almost, it was incredible and a-Ha at that point hadnt been in the USA since 1986 and hadnt had a cd out in the USA since 1993, so it was impressive that people knew everything.
