I think these days of over-information it helps to have a short and to the point title. I like it. And why not recognize her accomplishment with the number?

This album will likely be a big seller for Madonna. It could also be a very good album...

However, I do think that this album will get a lot of U.S. radio airplay, much more than her last two albums.

Madonna is going to be big this time around...

many women love her and practically every gay guy owns her records. madonna doesn't need to "connect" to the young market because her fanbase never left. that's why her records still chart, have decent shelf life, and her tours sell out.

as much as this record has me curious in a car crash kind of way, i think she's only working with these people because she likes what their doing. i don't think she feels like she has to grab the attention of the kids. she'll always get club play, she'll always sell records, she'll always get media attention, and she'll always sell out at her shows. madonna just really seems to be doing whatever she wants at this point in her career.

i wish prince would follow suit instead of making embarrassingly boring records with the hopes of impressing young audiences.

I think madonna working with timbaland is going to sum her experiences of toying with european music and american music and bring them both together.

nod I think she's trying to mix it all together....Europop and electronica, mixed with American R&B.It just might be an interesting combination of styles.

You may be right. Or really I HOPE you're right!

We had a thread here awhile back where we talked about this stuff. Questioning why she would want to chase the teenybopper audience. They're fickle, they tend to steal rather than buy music wink , and they won't or can't pay hundreds of $ for a concert ticket!

I think not getting airplay anymore on U.S. radio bugs her. But does it bother her enough that she's planning this album around the goal of getting that airplay? hmmm Or like you suggest, maybe she just thought these guys would help her get a good sound for her new record.

hmmm my theory is....this is her last album on Warners.Perhaps she wants to go out with a bang? What better way to celebrate than by releasing a big, commercial, heavily hyped album that's radio-friendly and in tune with American music tastes? Also, she's celebrating her 25th year as a recording artist.I think she wants to pull out all the stops....use the "heavy artillery".

I wonder though...where is Stuart Price? Back in January,he said that he would be one of the producers but I haven't heard anything about his tracks.Timbaland claims that he produced a whopping 10 songs for the project, which wouldn't leave much room for too many other producers/collaborators.

It's being discussed but so far,it hasn't been confirmed.I'm pretty sure she will cooperate and do something special for her 25th anniversary.

I hope so. She must have loads of unreleased tracks/alternate versions locked away. For such a major artist, it's a pity her non-album material is so scarce.

Good question!! We haven't heard much about him lately, that's for sure.

And you're right, if Timbaland really did that many tracks, not room for much else; I don't see her putting out a 17-track album!

I found out that Stuart is being brought in next month to do some post-production on the album. He will even re-work a few tracks....kinda like he did with "Get Together" on the last album. That song was originally produced by another production team, but Stuart totally re-did the music.

she hasn't done an RnB album since her New Jill Album Bedtime Stories. Maybe she just wanted to see if she could it. She doesn't have anything to lose at this point.

I agree with much of what you said.Madonna has reached a point where she really doesn't have anything to prove. She doesn't have to make a big, important album that's gonna change the world. Those days are over. She can let loose and have a little fun now.

I think 2 many people r dismissing this collaboration based on Timbaland's work and his work with other artists. Don't 4get, when Madonna joins forces with an "it" producer, the result is often unlike any of that producer's previous work.

nod At first,I wasn't too thrilled with the idea of her working with Timbaland but now I'm excited to hear what he came up with. He's been bragging about this album,I wanna see if it lives up to the hype.If he brings the hot beats, this album is gonna be amazing.
