I was listening to Roger's Unlimited cd this morning and of course Roger always used the vocoder as does T Pain. Do you think Roger influenced him? I know T Pain is no where near as talented as Roger though.

It isn't even the same Voice Box that Roger used. Roger used the Voice Box that actually required u 2 play each note on the Synth.....which required "Skill". T-Pain is just some punk with a good efx Program on Pro Tools. Period.

Only reason why they're marketable because shit-hop is currently ruling the airwaves. In that R. Kelly song, he said he was "Teddy Pend-his-ass Down" or something like that. Roger is rolling in his grave and Teddy Pendergrass is rolling in his wheelchair with T-Pain's assumptions.

Hell the f**k no. I think blaqueknight has put the smack down on this silly thread. And apart from revolutionizing the vocoder Roger is one of the greatest and underrated multi-instrumentalist ever. If you thought that Prince's guitar skills are underrated then spare a thought for Roger.
