Rahsaan Patterson kicks ass. Great soul/pop artist. Nobody buys his albums even though the guy seem pretty commercial. He could be as talented as Stevie or Prince but the system bug fucked him. Sad. I see him quitting music if it doesn't get any better. So go get his albums folks. Rahsaan is one bad mama jamma.

He has a great new song called "You Make Life So Good" on the Brown Sugar soundtrack. Absolutely one of the most underrated and overlooked artists out.

He is a Very Talented Cat, but Image is also putting a Hurtin to Him.He has a Tevin Vibe with some folks&that has Hurt Him in some circles. The Cat can play&He had Billy Preston up on His Debut Album.Catchy Jams but Industry Politics pushes Musiq out front&keeps Rahsaan to the Curb.Sorry to say but it's the Stone Cold truth.if you can't get your Record Company behind you&nobody is pushing your songs then you are gonna be Assed out. mistermaxxx

I have both of he cd's and I am dying for him to release a new one. I am going into withdrawl. I thought that me and my two friends where the only ones that cared about rahsaan. I spoke to him on the phone and he said that his new stuff should be come out really soon.

Whew!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks Rahsaan Patterson deserves more props than what he gets. That brother is so underrated it's sick. I boldly say his first album is a classic. I try to spread the word about him, Shanice, and Stephen Simmonds, as often as I can.
I know what I will be listening to when I get home today. I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

Rahsaan's bad - I saw him live a few years ago and he did a great cover of 'Controversy' - I'm sure he covered another Prince tune, but I cant remember which...
This was in London, Subteranea I think... *Peace* Om

Badu also has a badass song on the Brown Sugar soundtrack; and possibly the funnyest video in years.

I saw this guy at a Labor Day Weekend Jazz Festival in Atlanta about '97' (around the time of his first CD)
He was performance was great! He was on fire (except for those times that he hollered a little too much). Yes .. Like others..He seems to lean heavily on Stevie Wonder and Chaka.. As a matter of fact.. The Emcee introduced him as a possible "Lovechild" of the two Legends. He did "Controversy" differently and well... I respect that. He didn't try to sing like Prince like others (Brian McKnight, D'Angelo, Maxwell, Bilal..) His Band was tight and farely large.. He mixed Michael Jackson's, "I Wanna Rock With You" into the middle of his song, "Come Over". [Nice] He was drunk or + [Came on stage with Beer and Cigs] He said, "It's HottasaMother-uckerOutHere!" [It was] No Tracks. No false Bravado. Didn't expect to be assumed as the new Prince. His association with T E V I N is hurting him...badly... Assumptions of his true sexuality hurt him initally...(but not Maxwell?) He's Short. His CD was being promoted? when Maxwell was at his commercial peak..
