Beyonce on the cover of "People En Espanols" 50 hottest Latin people?

This actually came out in May but im surprised no one saw it or posted it. This is yet another one of the covers that make you do a double take, the backlash was really bad with thousands and thousands of letters and emails complaining about putting Beyonce on this list while missing true LATIN people, and not only that giving her the cover too. This was clearly a "marketing" ploy to get Beyonce's sudden latin music to sell in that market. Though some may think this was an attempt for this magazine to sell, this magazine on a regular basis sells more than the "english" people magazine, so that theory doesnt work, this was clearly, "Buy yourself a cover"

No but still if you review their top 50 every year its 50 latin people, this was a clear marketing ploy to go with her release of Spanish songs.

Heres the full list, as u can see Beyonce really does not fit on that list. Despite it not saying 50 hottest latins, you can bet if this list had George Clooney and Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie there would have been more of a issue made.

I see smile

Well I understand that list has more to do with what's hot as in "popular right now" than as "beautiful" as the spanish title suggests.

I see your point but also understand them embracing/accepting an artist's effort towards spanish speaking show business

OK so if a magazine came out and THICKE and Justin Timberlake were on the cover and it said the greatest new voices in RB, that would OK with everyone?

Not THAT discussion again... the question of someone being talented or being a hot new voice in R&B obviously has nothing to with the question of somebody being Latin or not, hast it.

That hasn't really got anything to do with my comment. You said there were thousands of letters and emails complaining about putting Beyonce on this list while missing true LATIN people What I'm saying is what Latin means to Europe and the rest of the world is different to what it means in the USA. Other countries have different definitions, I'm not sure how South America defines Latin but in Europe Beyonce has got Latin blood in her even if Americans don't realise it. France is a latin country, and it was so before South America ever was, so im saying that because the word means different things to different people whos to say what a true Latin person is. People shouldn't be complaining about that.
