Was I the straw that broke the camel's back? That was Rich It had NOTHING to do with you! When I first talked to him about meeting up with orgers in Chicago it was in May and I asked if he would mind doing a dinner or something before the show with Orgers that would be around the area and he said he would rather not spend his time on vacation lke that. He does tons for me soI figured I wasn't going to push it. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

She didn't even move like ever, that other band was drowning her out. While I was getting water one day Rich said he saw a lil white guy in a prince shirt and I've been wondering if that was an orger though. I looked but I couldn't find him. . [Edited 8/8/07 14:37pm] Well, okay...we kinda decided to make it a hush-hush, just-us-two kinda outing as well, so I'll forgive ya THIS time. We were way up front for Amy, so I didn't hear any bleedthrough from the other bands...and I really appreciated her subdued stage presence, if for no other reason it made her really easy to photograph. We were WAY in the back, cuz we went to see the start of Ben Harper's set in the Kid's area. . [Edited 8/8/07 15:14pm] In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

Her supposed self-destructive behavior is what is giving you all something to talk about. The minute she cleans up is the minute everyone loses interest because "she's boring." Nobody paid attention to her with her first record. You're all paying attention now and while you're at it you are telling her she sucks. Hypocrisy. nail on the fucking head.... I do hate to see Amy destroy herself so early in the game with only 2 LPs under her belt (i.e D'Angelo). But the girl is a force to be reckoned with whether folks like it or not. | |

I'll admit I haven't heard anything off her first album, but the reason I think she sucked is because she didn't know how to work the stage! I don't care if she's clean or if she's fucked up, it won't make me like her anymore or anyless. The whole idea of being a performer, is duh, actually performing... it's way more important than what a person does in the studio. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |
