First Madonna-Justin Collaboration Surfaces
Posted Jul 26th 2007 5:00PM by Beville Darden Filed under: Dance, Pop Somebody call Fiddy. The title of the first Madonna collaboration with Justin Timberlake and Timbaland off Madge's upcoming album is an innocuous little ditty called 'Candy Shop.' The song is said to be a mix of dance, pop and hip-hop. Rumored lyrics to the chorus are: "I'll be your one-stop candy shop/Everything that I got/I'll be your one-stop candy store/Lollipop/Have some more." Madonna's new album is expected to be released in November, with Timberlake and Timbaland sharing writing, producing and vocal credits to several songs. Other confirmed collaborators on the album include hip-hop phenom Pharrell Williams and Brit-popster Mika. Madonna's Latest Set for Fall Posted Jul 28th 2007 5:42PM by Melissa Olund Madonna sizzled at Live Earth, and her top-secret recording sessions with Justin Timberlake have the blogosphere buzzing. A fan website now reports that the Material Mom has set a tenative release date of October 29 for her new album. If the danceable leaked song 'Candy Shop' is any indication, the collection picks up where the disco-happy 'Confessions on a Dance Floor' left off. LOVE ♪♫♪♫ ♣¤═══¤۩۞۩ஜ۩ஜ۩۞۩¤═══¤♣

I'm losing hope that she'll junk all this and do something different! I find it hard to believe I'll like any of it, but I'll wait and listen.
I haven't heard the leak of Candy Shop and I'm not sure I want to, based on so many people here panning it!! "I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Of that thirty percent, I'll bet the public has heard twenty percent of it." - Susan Rogers, "Hunting for Prince's Vault", BBC, 2015

Wait and see None of us has heard any of the songs yet.I can't judge a song based on a snippet that's only a few seconds long, lol. At first,I wasn't too thrilled about her working with Pharrell and Timbaland, but now I'm interested in hearing what they come up with.I wanna see if they're up to the challenge.

I found a tracklist on another forum, take it with a grain of salt...you know how these things go According to this story, the album is titled 'Black Star'....it's a title that Timbaland came up with.During recording sessions,he jokingly referred to Madonna as "black star",saying she was really soulful, blah blah blah.Anyway,Maddy chose it as the title...she knows it might be a little controversial, but since when has Madonna shied away from controversy? LOL....
MADONNA~~~BLACK STAR (new album) The Beat Goes On Turn It Up Wizzle Do I Care? Candy Shop Superwoman Going Down Pretty Little Thing Madame Sinner Of Hell Let Me Do It Black Star It Hurts Hey You (bonus track) [Edited 7/31/07 5:35am]

found this on another forum too:
aside from Justin and Timbaland,STARGATE has submitted 2 demos and is rushing to add three more for Madonna's consideration.1 of the songs samples an old Madonna song.STARGATE are responsible for Rihanna's latest hit "Don't Stop The Music".Madonna is in the final stages of her collaboration with Timbaland and Justin. The Stargate demos are likely to make the final cut although no recording has started on the songs.Stuart Price and Madonna have an understanding that he will oversee the final stage of the album. The album might not meet its deadline because there's so much good material for the album and the latest development is the STARGATE demos. They were contacted a few months ago and submitted their material only two weeks ago.Justin wants to direct the video for the first single.Madonna hasn't said yes yet.In September, the first single will be released. There is also talk of releasing two singles at the same time. One will not have a video...it will just be sent to radio. Madonna and Warners are working on a huge marketing campaign, including an endorsement deal with a major product which may sponsor the World Tour next summer.Promotion will be huge especially on American radio and television. The rumors of an electronica/dance trip hop sound are accurate. The bass kicks ass! Madonna is on the right path with these new songs. It's very "now"."Wizzle" is a song written by Madonna alone. It started out as a joke and turned into a very well-produced track with the help of Timbaland. It's a play-on-words and very funny.Use your imagination on the lyrics."Turn It Up" is a classic Madonna dance song.Justin Timberlake helped write "Pretty Little Thing"."Do I Care" is another Timberlake/Madonna collaboration,he lends his vocals on the background.Alot of hard beats were applied to many of these tracks. There is a sexual innuendo to some of these songs.Look for a parental warning sticker on the album. The look for this album? Messy bargain-bin WHORE! Hee hee, don't know if all this true, but it's so much fun talking, reading and posting about it!! I love stories like this, even if it turns out to be false! A few months from now, when we have the CD in our hands,we're gonna laugh at this thread, lol. . [Edited 7/31/07 6:04am]
