This is those songs that I somberly associate with an artist just before or right after a major life event. "My Latest, My Greatest Inspiration" was Teddy Pendergrass' last major hit single before the early 1982 car accident that left him paralyzed. [Edited 8/3/07 20:42pm] THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. HOLD ON TO YOUR DRAWERS!

I love this song, they have been playing it quite a lot on the radio lately. Anybody know if it's on iTunes?

funkpill said: Mmmmmm!! I started watching those TP videos and almost forgot to come back!! He had--and has--an extraordinary voice and had unmatched stage presence with very little action. The other vid link of him in the "wife-beater" undershirt that he used to wear in concert a lot is how a lot of us women like to remember him! Mercy!! Never trust anything spoken in the presence of an erection.

I got into TP thru my mother because that was her man. If Teddy came on TV, no one was allowed to even touch the TV. I saw him recently in JET and he looked good. I just picked up "Teddy 79" on DVD and it's a fantastic concert. At some points it's almost like a rock concert..he really had the power back then.

No doubt. Teddy had pipes back in the day. His approaches to ballads were unable to be duplicated by most. And with songs like: You Got What I Want, Come On & Go With Me, Turn Out The Lights, and Love TKO. One can't go wrong. SPYZFAN1 said: I saw him recently in JET and he looked good.
Indeed. He's wife has been taking good care of him after his tragedy. [Edited 8/4/07 13:22pm]
