So wait none of them have talent??Are u freaking Braindead or something?

Amerie, if it wasnt for her Beyonce would have nothing to steal.
Mya, shit she dances better than Janet on her worst day
Nicole, she blows Aguilera and Beyonce out the water as far as Mainstream vocal females. So jump off that crap, AND READ THE MF POST i didnt promote CASSIE, cant Prince fans read anymore??

l/d, Amerie's got some really good, likeable upbeat tunes, but her voice is limited. Same with Mya. Though both dance pretty well in heels.

Nicole's in the same boat, but your statement vis-a-vis Aguilera and Beyonce? Not seein' that. I may not like Aguilera, but she can sing a bit. Same with Bey.

Nah, I'm cool. I'm not pissed at Lastdecember or anything like that, I just get tired of that "NY is the greatest" talk like the U.S. is part of NY instead of vice-versa. The notion that other people across the country (and the world) aren't living real, full, happy lives is ludicrous. I was just expressing that.

Im not saying that NYC is better than anything, im saying what makes things Plastic in NYC just like other places, are the asses that come here from other parts of the USA and get into this whole "trendy" shit and think they are from New York, thats what im saying, im not bragging about NYC, im just saying you aint a new yorker just because you moved here 2 years ago from South Carolina and you go to the trendy clubs, thats the shit about NYC that is plastic.

But you are exhibiting the exact New York arrogance I'm talking about. My point is "It ain't where you're from but where you're at"
Who cares if anyone is a "New Yorker"? Nobody. Its not special. Being born on a certain piece of land does not make anyone special. It doesn't matter if you're a New Yorker, a South Carolina-er or whatever. I understand what you are saying about the trendy people but understand what I am saying:
IT DOESN'T MATTER.
Many New Yorkers are raised with a self-importance and built in loyalty to an island that others around the country can't and don't care to understand. New York is not some prize to be had. Its a place just like any other place. What you do there is all on YOU, not the island and being born there doesn't make a person any greater than anyone else. That's all I'm saying.

Its not arrogance, its just fact. I understand your point, but the people that usually talk shit about where their from, arent really from there to begin with. This goes for every place, and you get that arrogance in any spot in the world not just NYC, i think its worse in other places like Atlanta,DC,phillie and of course LA. New york has always had the stereotype for being arrogant and shit like that, but 90% of time the arrogance is from people that arent even from New York City, so technically New York isnt arrogant at all. And of course being born in a certain place doesnt make anyone better than another, but faulting a place for the plastic people it has isnt fair either, its a place it didnt make those people, they are from all over america.

Just a side note, just had friend come back from Argentina after a 6week visit there, all i can tell you is that 99% of the people HATE americans right off the bat, mainly because of our standing in other countries, just a little info about us and how we look to others.

"We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F
