Another one mention is Skin Game.

Its the non-album b-side to You Want This

"Don't Stand Another Chance" produced by brother Marlon was funky as was the Jesse produced "Fast Girls"

All the "Control" joints except "He Doesn't Know I'm Alive", "When I Think of You", "Let's Wait Awhile" and "Funny How Time Flies".

"The Knowledge", "Rhythm Nation", "Miss You Much" and "Black Cat" (yes the album version) from "Rhythm Nation 1814".

"Funky Big Band" from "janet." had this funk-jazz combo to it mixed with New Jack Swing. "What I Do" was also an essential funk-styled rocker.

Except the ballads and rocker, every number from "The Velvet Rope".

"You Ain't Right" from "All for You".

Earlier Janet tracks that were funky: yes "Don't Stand Another Chance" was indeed funky so was "Fast Girls".

Another funky one, for me at least, has to be "All Night" from "Damita Jo" for the Herbie Hancock sample alone.

"Go Deep" always gets overlooked. I love that song.
