Props 2 The State of Ohio

We know about the Motown Sound and what Detroit Michigan contributed to R&B, Soul, Funk, Pop(whatever) music. We know of the Philadelphia Sound. We all know of the Minneapolis sound and what Minnesota has given us. There's the Big Apple, New York City on one coast and Los Angeles on the other coast.
Let's give props to the state of Ohio and what it has contributed to music. Here's a few for starters:
Ohio Players
Roger Troutman(Zapp)
Gerald Levert(Levert)
Bootsy Collins
Lakeside
Shirley Murdock
Sun
James Brown(King Records, Cincinnati, Ohio)
Dazz Band

There's probably more, so list them....

Or be proud of your state and mention the artists and musicians who've contributed.

did Anita Baker relocate to the D from Toledo? cause she's always been claimed as a homegirl here.
