Wow! Why anyone still has nice things to say about this girl blows my mind. She obviously only cares about herself at this point, because anyone who would cut off their children's grandmother from seeing them is a cold-hearted bitch. I really don't care how much she feels wronged by her mom; she has no right to cut her out of her grandsons' lives or their father for that matter. It's not fair to those babies. It's like some divorces where one parent gets full custody and bad mouths the other parent to the child, putting negative thoughts in the child's mind about that other parent. I don't have kids, but even I know that that's bad parenting. If she feels soo damaged because of problems with her parents, why damage her own children in the process? Why can't she be the bigger person and turn the other cheek, for the sake of her children? Sure, their parents screwed them up, but they're all adults now. They need to get over it and grow up a little, especially since they are only really hurting themselves in the long run. They're only tarnishing their own images. I know they can read (or maybe they can't, who knows); and I'm sure they can at least hear all the negative stuff that's being printed about them. Why can't they grow up on their own without someone holding their hand and cheering them on? Millions of people have to do it on their own everyday and many of them aren't lucky enough to have the money or support that these girls have. Many people are actually rooting for them to succeed. Nobody should be making excuses for them like they are little children. They're adults and real adults admit their mistakes and try to change for the better, but maybe I'm putting too much faith in them....maybe they are still just lost, little girls who need hugs and lots of attention to survive from day to day. I think it's more pathetic than sad. At this point, I read the tabloids just so I can have a good laugh. As financially strapped as I am, it brightens my day to see stupid, rich people make fools of themselves in front of the world. It's like all those spoiled, rich girls I used to go to school with and how they would never make it without daddy's money. Let's thank God that destiny shined on these dumbasses, because I'd hate to think how they would have ended up if they didn't have fame, a famous last name, and millions of dollars to waste on stupid shit. I give Britney a couple more months before she gets caught either driving drunk, holding something illegal, or child endangerment (again), and then they'll all have mugshots and criminal records. People really need to stop enabling these girls by making excuses for them. Let them fall and once they hit rock bottom, if they really are strong and smart, they will be able to get back up and hopefully be a whole lot wiser from their mistakes. Sometimes people need to hit rock bottom to come up again. It's no new thing that child stars fall off the rails from having to grow up way too soon.

It's because you get a laugh out of people's breakdowns that they have these breakdowns. The media constantly chasing them in case they slip up - no wonder they're all crazy.

Except Britney worked for hers. Her parents were broke when she was young.

I look at these girls like an episode of "Intervention". At some point, the addicts family says that's enough and the only way they can help the addict is by cutting them off completely. No more contact, no more helping hand. Once that addict realizes that all the people who were there for them from the beginning no longer want to be near them, they straighten up; but sometimes they don't and they lose everything because of their inability to change. Can't they see how much they are hurting their loved ones? It's at this point of selfishness that I can't feel sorry for them anymore. It's tough love and sometimes it's necessary; especially for people who have a hard time learning things the easy way. Do I think I'm mean for the statement about rich people? No, not at all, Rich or poor, everybody hits a pitfall at some point in their lives and if you get back up it shows just how strong you really are. People don't like change and let's face it, who wants to be rich one day and broke the next. If those people do stupid things that cause them to lose everything, than why should I feel sorry for them or anyone else for that matter? If a person can't budget and ends up broke, than that person has no one to blame but themselves. Spend wisely on everything in life and always save. When I read about how Britney's personal assistant of 10 years left her because she couldn't stick around and watch her destroy herself any longer, I realized that at least someone near her understood tough love. Why stay around and watch someone destroy themselves? Britney has to help herself first by admitting that something just isn't right in her life. Sorry, but anyone who strips down to their underwear in front of a handful of paparazzos to stand in the cold ocean for less than 30 seconds has some issues they need to address within themselves. I still believe that she's the one who calls these "stalkers" and tells them where she's going. She smiles a little too much in those photos for me to believe that she's being harrassed by these people. Unless, she's just programmed to be "on" at all times, which is pretty sad. I think Shar Jackson should get the kids at this point, but that's just me. By the way, thank you, Purplesweat, for being a very level-headed and intelligent person. Many people who have an opposite opinion try to start a shouting match.

I only say that because I went through a phase in my career where I only shot kids (modeling for editorial, high end advertising)...and the markets where I was based in the US, had many international clients. The parents that had been entrenched in the business for years, with kids that worked from like birth until puberty, their mothers would do crszy shit like dye their hair to keep it blond so they would keep their photogenic appeal for certain markets...and they would start that shit at like 5 YEARS OLD . I can very clearly imagine there's some mom in New York or S. It would be really easy for me to say that this woman is showing her true trailer park trash colors, but remember that she was on the "New Mickey Mouse Club" back in the 1990s, so she has been in the entertainment business for most of her life. At first when she had her initial breakdown and check into rehab, I thought there was an outside possibility that she was suffering through some serious post-partum depression, because some of the antics she was displaying (like shaving her head) seemed to point that way. However, I think that much of her downward spiral can be traced back to her breakup with Justin Timberlake. They had been in love with each other since the Mickey Mouse days, and he was her first serious relationship and intimate lover. She had been playing slutty in her music videos up this point, but it was all a tease act to sell records. However, once they broke up, something inside her head must have gone haywire, because she then tongue-down kissed Madonna on live TV, she married that high-school boyfriend in Las Vegas for 55 hours, then she hooked up with Kevin Federline and had two kids with him, and after she dumped him, she went out in public showing her nether-regions and became gal-pals with Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan. Prior to her breakup with Justin, she wouldn't be caught dead hanging around the likes of Paris, yet here she was going out to clubs with her and getting drunk and drugged up. Then she had her breakdown, and she has been acting strangely ever since. And as for why her publicists aren't stepping in to help her, they actually have been trying to help. but she either threatens to fire them or force them to quit, and she has cut off contact with her mother, so she is still in denial about her issues.

She's only just gone through a divorce, which sends most sane people a bit gaga. Give her a break!

I also don't believe that Britney has ever had her shit together. It's easy to hide things when you're a celebrity, especially if you have a whole team of advisors covering it all up.
