USHER & TAMEKA FOSTER: Officially Married

Usher proved to be a man of his word and made Tameka Foster an honest woman, by marrying her yesterday at a private ceremony in his attorney's Atlanta office, according to published reports.

For the past few weeks, the couple were enthralled in a media circus of sorts with the sudden plans and the subsequent derailment of a lavish wedding that was due to take place last Saturday in the tony New York enclave The Hamptons.


Earlier this week -- when reports surfaced that Foster was hospitalized -- Usher tried to quiet innuendo by saying "everyone is fine" to a tabloid, also saying that the marriage was still planned.

The near-40-year old divorced mother of three sons (from previous relationships) is due to have the 28-year-old multiple Grammy Award winning crooner's first child within a few months.

'The Chicago-Sun Times' newspaper reported that Usher's mother and recently fired manger Jonetta Patton showed up for the ceremony despite being the person responsible for an elaborate prenuptial agreement that sidelined a planned spring wedding.

She is rumored to have strongly disapproved of the relationship -- which was sparked after Foster (a celebrity fashion stylist for Lauryn Hill and Toni Braxton) came on board to help with Usher's imaging.

A query to Usher's publicist Patti Webster went unanswered by deadline today.

A few days ago,our local radio station had some juicy gossip concerning Uhser's fiance.Apparently,she has a shady past and has served time in jail.Usher just recently found out about this Could this be the reason he cancelled the wedding??

This is all publicity for his new album. He did the same thing with his last album. The breakup with Chili helped it go diamond.

How did I know this thread would turn into this? I don't think anybody here knows that he's gay, but so what? Why is it a big deal to joke that he is? These discussions have never been limited to black performers. There have been threads started that suggested Justin Timberlake is, and this one is off on a tangent about John Travolta being gay.

I do, however, get angry when people suggest Michael Jackson is gay. That is a totally heterosexual non-pedophilical male. Totally.
