Britney Spears' self-arranged photo shoot and tell-all interview with OK! magazine could potentially "kill" her career.

According to gossip website TMZ.com, sources claim the singer's behaviour during the interview and photo session was "nothing less than a meltdown".

During the shoot, the 25-year-old mother-of-two was said to be "completely out of it", and the resulting pictures are "so bad" that publishing them could "kill her career".

At one stage Britney's eyes allegedly rolled back in her head and she was said to have looked "half dead".

Her mood was described as extremely erratic, with one source revealing she took frequent bathroom breaks and each time she returned her mood had changed.

She was also allegedly severely paranoid during the entire interview, and at one point she believed the ceiling was about to cave in.

During the shoot, Britney ordered fried chicken, and when she had finished eating it she reportedly wiped her hands on a Gucci dress worth several thousand dollars, staining it with grease.

The star also brought her new Yorkshire Terrier puppy London with her and when it defecated on the floor she is said to have used a Chanel dress to wipe it up.

The magazine hired two of the best hair and make-up artists in Los Angeles to make Britney look her best, but she refused to let them style her, instead opting for two friends she brought with her to fashion her.

Britney personally called Sara Ivens, the editor-in-chief of the US edition of OK!, last week and said she wanted to do an exclusive interview discussing her divorce from Kevin Federline, her breakdown and her problems with her mother Lynne.

But now magazine executives are deciding whether to go ahead with the exclusive as it happened or protect the pop star with a heavily edited version.

Britney's representative did not return calls, while a representative for OK! - whose Britney issue is due to come out on Thursday in America - refused to discuss the new issue.

According to gossip tabloid NW Magazine, Britney Spears is pregnant with her third child.

NW reports that Spears has told close friends that she is pregnant, and that she does not know who the father is.

A source told the magazine: "She's been secretly filling her pals in on the good news since last week. Britney is in shock herself, this definitely wasn't planned. She's thrilled just the same."

Spears has two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline: 1-year-old Sean Preston and 10-month-old Jayden James.

At this time, no one from the Spears camp has confirmed this pregnancy rumor.

How come she´s still got so much money ? I´m really surprised, it´s been years since her last hit, she´s spent tons of money on bullshit, she still has a very high standard of living, and as far as I know, her record company milked her as much as they could. Where does all this money come from ? Wiping off dog poo and chicken grease with Gucci and Chanel ? Girl must still be filthy rich.

I say quit protecting her, that's her damn problem right there! Print that shit!

Why is she melting down? She's has children and money. Go somewhere and live in peace.

this sounds like a right mess. this poor child needs help. i really wanted her to make a come back and shut everyone down but it may be some time before this happens. how does this kind of shit happen to people? shouldn't people like us be the ones having meltdowns? i've never been rich and probably never will be and barely make it to surive financially. i should be the one cracking up.

What is with these child stars, that just eventually fuck up when they reach adult hood?
And to answer why she has so much money, is because she became and entrepreneur
she was one of the first female artist to get their own perfume, clothing line restaurant etc...

I don't likee Britney, but i sympathize with her.
I predicted her fall years ago.
For some reason child/teen stars can never compose themselves for adult hood...
Especially when they havee so much money...

The statement was posted Tuesday on TMZ's Web site. A day earlier, TMZ said it had "learned that Britney's self-arranged photo shoot and interview with OK! Magazine was a complete disaster" and that her behavior during the interview was "nothing less than a meltdown."

OK! publicist Brian Strong said the magazine wouldn't publish photos of Spears from the shoot due to legal reasons. He said OK! would deliver "a very real account" of its interview with the 25-year-old singer.

The Associated Press was attempting to locate a representative for Spears.

Earlier this month, Spears apologized for attacking a photographer's car with an umbrella in February, saying at the time she was preparing to try out for a movie part and got carried away.

The incident took place during the same period in which Spears shaved her head, got new tattoos and was seen partying hard in Los Angeles clubs.

Not long after, the erstwhile pop star, more recently derided as a pop tart for her highly public forays into midnight carousing, checked into a monthlong stay in rehab.

Spears filed for divorce from aspiring rapper Kevin Federline in November, just two months after giving birth to the couple's second child, Jayden James. Their older son, Sean Preston, was born in September 2005.

Has anybody ever considered the idea that maybe this girl would die if the paparazzi weren't following her. I heard a story recently about how she went to a premiere or store opening or something that she wasn't invited to and drive around the building's entrance more than two times so that the paparazzi would notice her and take her picture. She loves the attention, and has somehow managed to sucker weak-minded idiots into believing that she's being "stalked" by the paparazzi; thus, making these simple-minded individuals feel sorry for her. Stalked? Stalked my ass. C'mon now, Brit, u know you're calling these people and telling them exactly where u are at that exact time. She knows many of them by their first names, for heaven's sake. You're saying she's bad for buying a dog now? And there's always that saying "Money doesn't buy happiness". Sure she's finanicially secure, but it's fairly obvious all that money hasn't helped her life problems in any way.

She's actually been working on her next album since 2005. She shot a music video last week.


I agree she surrounds herself with yes people but she's the only one that can help herself. She doesn't seem anywhere near as bad as she was, everyone seems to love overreacting when it comes to Britney.
