Great Disco Group of the day Ottawan Anyone remember this classic disco twosome from France, they had two massive hits with D.I.S.C.O. in 1979 and Hands Up from 1981. They had a Boney M like sound with a rythmic continental flavour to their songs. They are still on you tube. Here in New Zealand, Hands up was number one for 7 weeks in 1982.

Come on Eurodisco was great. People detest Ottawan and Boney M only because they cant admit how catchy and good their stuff actually was. Who cares if English was their fourth langauge and the beats sounded tacky and phoned in. The music was very infectious and you could not stop singing it in your head. I am still humming along to D.I.S.C.O.
