Whehther he wants to sing live or not is up to him, however to say that MJ can't sing anymore is absurd and a really overbroad statement , these comments always make me laugh, how would you explain his voice on speechless since it starts and closes acapella , he sings without music on that song and his voice still amazing and on point, and what about butterfiles and other gems like Break of dawn , the man still can sing, will.I.am said recently that Mj still sings like a bird and his unrecorded voice is better than the recorded one, and to be honest Mj is maybe sick of singing live , he has been singing since the age of 5 , people have to put that into consideration, he is not a singing machine that never stops . people should give him a break, If he can sing in the studio he can do it live on stage at anytime..peroid...

If I popped down to my local nursery I'd have a hard time finding anything as naive as an MJ fan. There's such a thing as overdubbing. There's such a thing as auto tuner. The days of studio recordings being an accurate representation of a singer's ability ended about 30 years ago. "Sick of singing live"?? I won't even dignify that with a response. As for will.i.am, just how much singing did he really hear from Michael? They didn't even finish a track. I'll take the word of floetry who wrote Butterfly. She was thanking Michael in an interview, but couldn't help mentioning how she had to coax him during the recording ("Can you get your pitching right? Can you get your timing right? Can you sing this bit more powerfully?"). I guarantee no one was reminding Michael to sing in tune in 1972 when he recorded Ben in one take, or in 79 when he recorded vocals for Rock With You and Off The Wall in one afternoon.

This is exactly what I've been saying Michael should do!! He should do an acoustic tour and release an Unplugged CD.Put the spotlight back on his VOICE! Put the focus back on all those amazing, melodic songs he used to do.Remind people of why they became fans in the first place!!

That new album he's working on...with songs by Ne-Yo and will.i.am?? barf Throw it in the garbage. That's not what the world wants. They would rather see him sitting on a stool, singing REAL songs like "Human Nature" and "I Can't Help It",without all the distractions and nonsense. This is the only way he could make any type of genuine comeback, imo.

He canNOT abandon the dance. He's famous for his gift of Dance also. He showcases his voice in concerts - Human Nature, Man In The Mirror, She's Out of My Life, etc.

He hasn't performed any of those songs in 14 years and one of them he mimed (MITM). Another one he was totally breathless throughout (HN). We didn't hear singing, we heard heavy breathing. Also, I hate to break it to you, but Michael's nearly 50 now. He can't dance like he used to. We all saw that on his last tour.

I didn't say he should abandon the dance wink I said he should abandon that album he's working on.

C'mon now, you don't know anything about the upcoming record. None of us do. We don't know who he's actually working with or whose songs he'll actually use. Let's just wait and see what he brings us. Bet it'll be awesome. I have a lot of faith in MJ. He didn't become the biggest star in the world by accident ya know.

Well he and Beyonce did a duet. Why not with Mike. The two geniuses on stage together would be awesome. They need to stop being so stubborn and do this. People have been hoping for this for 20 years.

Michael Jackson gets career advice from Prince
9:42AM Tuesday July 24, 2007

Earlier this year, the diminutive star snubbed Michael's offer of a joint tour to help him re-launch himself on the world stage.

Prince was said to be concerned that the hype surrounding Michael's comeback would over-shadow the concerts, and he wasn't prepared to be the Beat It singer's support act.

- BANG! SHOWBIZ

Wasn't there already a STATEMENT issued from MJ and his people that this was NOT TRUE.

It's "a FAKE, baby--no rhyme or reason. 'Cause in your mind, it's lyin' season, you're a FAKE!" (Alex O'Neal)

Good point there! Maybe it's best they stayed apart. confused Prince fans will never forgive MJ if the two agree to do a duet and it stinks, lol. I remember watching the "Whatzupwitu" video with a neutral look on my face. lol

And just think the same man who did the collabo with MJ (and was imitating Prince while doing it too!) was the one who said:

"...I heard Michael Jackson was looking for me
And when I heard that, I was like 'so?'
'Cause I'd f*ck Mike up, he don't weight over a buck o-five
I bust that ass on Mike but my manager said 'we don't know everything about Michael, he might be this bad motherf*cker behind close doors
A recluse like Mike, if you dealt with him in private, he'd be completely different and I'd be imagining Mike coming to me at a party like:
'(in high-pitched voice) LEMME TALK TO YOU FOR A MINUTE! Yeah uh, what's your f*cking problem, huh? Then why you keep f*cking with me then, huh?
You know I'm Michael Jackson, I'd bust yo ass! I hear some more sh*t, I'll put this glove up yo ass...'
Michael is so famous, he went on TV and told everybody he didn't have sex because of his religious beliefs and the public believed it
Brothers were like 'get the f*ck out of here' and white folks were like 'That Michael's a special kind of guy!'
You know how I knew y'all believed him, y'all didn't get mad when he took Brooke Shields to the Grammys! Nobody white said sh*t! If I took Brooke to the Grammy's, y'all would lose your mind...
...'cause you knew Brooke would get f*cked that night. And Brooke knew too, that's why we going THIS YEAR, no..."
- Eddie Murphy, "Raw" (1987)

Two years later, he's the one presenting MJ with an award on "Arsenio Hall" and I think months before that he gave him a Soul Train award. LOL
