As for en Vogue, once Dawn left that was pretty much the end of them. Her parting sealed EnVogues fate. Damn Shame. Yeah, you never realize how big someone's voice is in a group setting until that voice bails. nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

In fact, after those groups began to simultaneously fade into the sunset, it was the Hailey boys who resurrected their careers by doing the clean-cut thing. I don't know, because then came Jagged Edge and 112 and groups like that, that more so resembled Jodeci than B2M. I still blame hip-hop and R&B polluting each other. I saw En Vogue the same time I saw Boys II Men and as much as I love Dawn, Rhoda's voice is better and stronger than Dawn's.
I was like when she was singing....like...danggggg. They are still very entertaining even without Dawn.

I'm not sure if I'd say "better and stronger," but Rhona definitely has the goods. Truth be told, she was always the most talented of the New Mickey Mouse Club crew. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Not consciously. Again, they were complete contemporaries. Cooleyhighharmony was released less than a month before Forever My Lady. Their first 4 singles were also released at about the same time: 1. Motownphilly/Gotta Love 2. It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday/Forever My Lady 3. Uhh Ahh/Stay 4. Despite their incredible commercial success in the early through mid-1990s, I always thought Boyz II Men was a vocally nondescript group that did not have a member or any members with any dynamic personalities to make him or them stood out. That overall generic quality is what kept people from being interested in them personally and thus their careers fell off.
