LL COOL J sucks
Ever since I need love, he's been the loverboy of the rap game, enforcing the unholy bond of R&B and Hip Hop. Shit is stank... He use to be great tho... I am a Rail Road, Track Abandoned

I love me some LL! His is a positive rapper that doesn't use too much gross/ foul language in his music. yes, he's a loverboy/pretty boy but it's all good. i'd rather hear him over 50 cent any day. "rock the bells" is my favorite song of his ever!

Ladies Love Cool James is the prototype of the current MC. Don't get me wrong, Rakim is the standard by which all MCs are judged. But LL is the prototypical MC. He used to rip it. That's the LL I remember. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

[Edited 7/20/07 13:58pm] Nah his best song was "Mama Said Knock You Out". That marked his successful comeback, especially after wack ass Walk Like A Panther. nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

People can dog that album all they want, but anything with a song as hilarious as "Big Ole Butt" is fine by me. Yo, it was Brenda! She worked at Red Lobster but I didn't remember. LL is a pioneer, he and others brought RAP out to the world and for that he belongs in the legend class of other Rappers. I do like LL's work even his song with JLO was good with the exception of JD chanting all over the place. I actually suggested LL to some Mariah Fans that were talking about what Rappers she should work with next if she did, and everyone was talking about new jacks like TI and i said Mariah needs to bring on some OLD SCHOOL RAPPER, if she is as much of an old school fan as she says she is, her LL should do a track together. "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

I love this guy! His early albums are some of the greatest gems of the old golden years of hip-hop, ahhh...those were the days...I have forgotten how many times I've heard Radio and Mama said knock you out...
Personally, I'm not interested in his late 90's and 00's career, or his film "career" (though he was great in Deep Blue Sea ), but he will always have my respect for being one of the true godfathers of classic rap, and surely the best "ballader" of the entire hip-hop/rap scene.

You know a movie's bad when LL gives the best performance in it. The movie was awful , but LL was GREAT!!! He is the SOLE reason to watch that aquatic garbage! I love that scene near the end, when the last shark catchs him; the first time I thought "oh shit he's gonna die!!! but then he stabs the shark in the eye with his crucifix, and he escapes! Or the scene when he is trapped inside his own oven, with the shark tryin' to catch him...bizarre yet hilarous...
