you can't have a best list and not include Radiohead, it's simply impossible.

[Edited 7/21/07 22:12pm] Destiny Child sure they were cool, but best? skye you can do better than that? but everything else seems good! LOL, you are right. I probably could do better, but I was sleepy and couldn't think of anyone else. However, I do think that Destiny's Child is one of the best groups that have come along in years. Btw, I also think that N'Sync was a great group VOCALLY. I am a classically trained musician, so I know when a person or a group has great vocals. Those guys in N'Sync could sing their asses off. Their acapella renditions will cause you to have goosebumps. The ironic thing is that JC Chasez was much more talented vocally than Justin Timberlake; but, their record company has refused to promote JC. That's a damn shame because the man can sing.

Third Eye Blind??? They have a soft spot of my heart. Late 90's - '03, they were my preoccupation. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!
"It's just my imagination, once again running away with me."

UB40's "food for thought" -> two wild signs way up!!!

UB40 is a successful covers band nothing more 90% of their songs are originally from various Jamaican artists. Labour of Love I and II are 100% covers.
I can't believe people give them credit for their music, the original are so much better. They took the soul/roots out of the music and made poppy radio friendly reggae. One of the greatest at fakin the Funk maybe. Don't believe me? Check out the Trojan's Original's box set.

They worked their hustle well, suceeded, and are honest about what they do unlike the Justin Timberlakes, Amy Winehouse's, Xtinas, and Joss Stones of the world. You have to give them that.

That's like a saying Im a thief but it's ok cause Im hinest about it .
The fact is the original artists aint got shit from it and most of them either died in or are living in poverty while everyone heap the praise on UB40. Until we start appreciating/promoting our own instead of selling our souls for the dollar we will keep on complaining about the likes of JT, Joss and Amy.

UB40? I wouldn't even call them the 'best' or 'worst'... I'm actually quite indifferent because for one, they're mostly known for the covers (and probably ONLY the covers) and I only like two songs from them: covers of "Red Wine" (I think this is the Neil Diamond cover, right?) and "Can't Help Falling in Love" but that's about it. Neutron Dance, I'm So Excited, Jump, etc. are what I think of that's why. It's the 80s stuff I just can't handle. It's beyond cheesy. And REALLY dated. Those from the Old School know that there's more to the Pointers than just their 80's comeback material like Automatic, I'm So Excited, Jump For My Love. The Pointers had good cuts back in the 70's like Slow Hand, Yes We Can which came after they switched from Gospel.

I said their 80s stuff is why I don't like them, but I could take or leave their earlier music too though I suppose. I just never got into them. "Yes We Can Can" is one song I like by them I suppose, but more for nostalgic reasons than anything else. If I hear it on the radio or something , I'll think "Oh hey I remember this song", but it doesn't make me want to go put it on myself. They were so prominent in the 80s though, and I never liked any their 80's hits, even back then. Wait, "Slow Hand" is an 80s song.
