lets talk about her acting for once. I know there are some penny and charlene fans in here :p

Her acting has never done anything for me. She's okay. She was cute as Penny, I liked her as Charlene, she was barely on Fame.

Her other rolls have all been bareable but I don't feel she brings anything special to the character or screen. I'm always aware that she's acting.

Well, she's just as good as allot of overexposed female actresses out there. Granted, Janet's no Angela Bassett but neither is Halle Berry.

Janet's acting has always been much stronger, IMO, than her singing.

It's always been her real talent, to me.

People often compare black actresses to Angela Bassett as if she is the only good black actress. She is one of many but is more prominent I guess. She is suppose to be in a Tyler Perry movie too. I hope it’s a good script and that he’s not directing it for her sake.

I know her acting isn't the best out there though it could be if she tried harder. I just know a lot of people are into old school here, so I naturally thought there would be some good times fans or whatnot

dawn, I am a huge janet fan don't get me wrong, I listen to old school more, but also have a good idea of what youth listen to and janet isn't one of them at this point, which totally sucks for her cause she was always bringing it

I caught a little bit of the Janet Jackson episode of Will and Grace the other day, and let's say that I cringed almost as much as I did during the Madonna episode.
