While i do love this book, as a whole i find it loses its way and misses the potential two such fine artists as Madonna and Steven Klein could achieve.

Some of the images are brilliant though. I really wish she'd put her efforts into more photographic books. Shes one of the greatest models of the photographic genre, and she needs to celebrate that fact. She created some amazing images throughout her career with many amazing photographers. Id love to see ALL her Steven Klein pics collected together in one book. I loved the ones they did for Rolling Stone in 1991, and they did several shoots in 1992 that were all quite different yet brilliantly striking.

To my mind its her work in this area (as well has her music) that will help create a lasting legacy for her. Not fashion lines or childrens books, but some of the brilliant images shes created over the years. No one works a camera like Madonna.

Thank you, all.

I love the site. Thanks. Here are my fave pics;

It's amazing that even with Isabella Rossellini's magnetic gaze in the center of composition, Madonna still manages to dominate the image with her dimmed, wandering eye.

Speaking of Rossellini, wasn't she phenomenal in Blue Velvet?

I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at the dirt.

I don't know why but I don't see her as genuinely fragile in this pic.
I see her as the person in power over the situation which represented in this image...

Anywayz, I also like this pic. Would've been better without the shoe, though.
