Speaking of club remixes, here are the remixes that will appear on the maxi-CD of "Die Another Day"...

1)"Die Another Day"(radio edit) 3.29
2)"Die Another Day"(Deepsky Remix Edit) 4.06
3)"Die Another Day"(Dirty Vegas Main Mix) 10.08
4)"Die Another Day"(Thee RetroLectro Mix) 6.59 (felix da housecat)
5)"Die Another Day"(Thunderpuss Mix) 9.25
6)"Die Another Day"(Deepsky Remix)7.27

As a clubgoer myself,I can tell you that Madonna's remixes always do well in the clubs. All of the remixes from the 'Music' CD were well-received by clubgoers.

lol...:LOL...lol...let me guess...your a fan of rubyskies? dont lie...heheheheh

oh no u didnt...

its funny you say that once...in one of my profiles i use the following statements: "if you refer to yourself as a clubkid, circuit boy or clubber...then you really don't know what its all about...i go to the places that hit the best beats and the before mentioned people dont go"...

hehehehehehe...

Just heard the song. Don't like it. I can't believe the producers of Bond wanted something like this for their theme song.

M needs to lay off the autotune/vocoder or whatever the heck that effect is on her voice.

SkletonKee, you sure sound like a techno snob to me! Different cities, different names, whatevs...

I'm very picky about what I think is good electronic/dance music and so are many of my friends. I run screaming off the dancefloor whenever a Thunderpuss remix comes on. (ACK! I can't believe they are on the new single) I refuse to attend circuit parties, and stay away from any compilation cd that has a naked boy on the cover.

What surprised me about the "music" remixes in MPLS was that they were played at 1st Ave, A LOT. 1st ave doesn't cater to the top40 clubgoers. They'd never drop in a Toni Braxton remix, but they played the hell out of the Music single (especially the Deep Dish Dot Com and Groove Armada remixes) and they sound fantastic mixed...

I know Madonna takes what she wants from her fave new trend, then waters it down for mass appeal. But, the remixes these days are often holding up very well, especially at the hands of a good DJ...

still tryin with the new song, ps...it still hasn't grabbed me.

Nude Dimension, eh? I'm trustin your passion on this and will check it out...

SkeletonKee or whatever your name is...YOU'RE MISSING THE WHOLE FUCKING POINT! Who cares how much she's getting played in the clubs you go to. In an interview that came out right after 'Ray of Light' she said, "I realize that techno purists will not see this as an electronic album. And I'm fine with that. I've always been into dance and electronic music so it's reflected in what I do. But at the core of it is a solid song." She also said that she believed many people felt techno was a lifeless, robotic, cold, whatever genre. And that she really wanted to bring emotion into the sound. Which she did quite wonderfully. Of course she wasn't the first person to do that, see Bjork, Aphex Twin, Tricky, whoever. But she built upon that foundation with actual songs that I'm sure are missing from many of your precious club's playlists. She's always been a pop star and at the heart of what she does are going to be strong, well-written, tight pop songs. It's what she does. The dance element of it is just the culture she surrounds herself with and one small part of what she does. And so what, Mary J. Blige has a remix album out now. She's every bit as commercial as Madonna. I don't know why you're so fixated about how much club cred Madonna's getting these days. For not being a fan, you sure pose as someone who knows what she's not. You must be paying attention to her. wink

easy Tron...speak to me, not at me... wink

ive said i enjoy Madonna's music, many o times...re-read the maddy growth thread over again...

and this whole notion of "techno purity" is beyond me...im not a fan of techno music...but i will acknowledge good music when i hear it...yes, i enjoyed most of what was on Ray Of Light..but Music was a great song and a horrible album...IMHO..btw: i tend to be more of a house officianado myself...so the " I DONT DO TECHNO" was a clarification on that issue...

as far as Mary is concerned..I was just pointing out that Mary's remixes are getting more respect within the house scene and has sorta replaced Madonna (who used to get madd play in the 90's but is now considered blahh, and Mary will get the same diss in a couple years and someone knew will come along..its all a trend)...im not knocking the darn girl...just giving observation...

and why am i fixated with Madonna's cred? well simple, too many people here are trying to state opinions as facts...and i happen to disagree with the opinion and there for am sharing my view...

isnt that what we are supposed to be doing here at the org? or should we only stick to patting others on the back with agreement posts?

i dont think im missing any point...im just sharing my views..just like everyone else here...

and easy with the cursing boy...my virgin ears are bleeding wink

Well, I'm not exactly going to follow you around this site looking for everything you've said about Madonna. It just seemed like you were trying to paint her as a washed-up, no cred, worthless artist and I didn't understand why you were so hellbent on the club thing. But bygones. It doesn't really matter.

On one of the Madonna fansites, they are taking a poll, asking if fans think Maddy should stop using that "vocoder" thing on her voice.I've noticed that she uses it alot on the Mirwais productions.

She definitely should drop the vocoder voice thing. It's not cool at all, it sounds cheesy. She might as well be Cher.

Anyway, I haven't heard the new song, and though I like Madonna for the most part (at least up through '99) I'm not exactly yearning to hear the song. I preferred her in the mid 90s when she tried to stretch out and do something other than dance music. For her to limit herself to substandard pop music with a bad producer is a real turnoff for me. It would be nice if she made a real ballad again- you know, one with strings, and emotion. Not techno beats. Frozen was great though, and a good marriage of the old Madonna style with the new.

You may wanna wait until her next CD comes out in early 2003.The early word is that Madonna's really gonna stretch out on this CD,and "rock harder than usual" on a few tracks.I don't think this new song "Die Another Die" is indicative of the new direction she is gonna go in.But,you should still hear it,it's a cool track smile

Yeah, I do. Of course I don't really like the sound of the Music album, and that's what I'm basing it on. The dude that produced the Ray of Light album did a far better job. The only well produced song on the Music album (I thought) was Impressive Instant.

William Orbit is the guy who produced the 'Ray Of Light' CD,but he was also involved with the 'Music' CD,producing the songs "Amazing","Runaway Lover" and "Gone".I like him,but I think Mirwais is a much more creative producer for Madonna. But his time may soon be up too.For the new CD,Madonna is also working with Dr.Dre,Air,Paul Oakenfold and the keyboardist from her "Drowned World" touring band.
