Fellow BOWIE fans!!! Question/Discussion.... Bowie is the fucking man. Compared to him, any other artist out there - Prince included- can suck my salty nuts! I've got some questions for those of you who agree (or mostly agree) with my Bowie love...
1) Can anyone tell me the goddamn tracklisting for the upcoming two-disc "Best Of" set? 2) How is the sound quality of the "Ziggy 30th Anniversary" CDs' bonus tracks? The same or better than the old Ryko releases? 3) How can I go about getting a copy of all the rare tracks from the "Heathen" B-sides? Send me an .Orgnote, or e-mail through the .Org, if you have any suggestions for me...or would like to help me out! "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

Only little shit part is that "Ziggy Stardust" fades out instead of going right to "Sufragette City" like the original vinyl release... 3) Buy the singles man, they're worth it... Neversin. every album bowie made in the seventies
was something completely new. his image and sound changed & developed every time he released an album.I love all of them but my personal favourite period of his music is around ´76. I have this live bootleg album the thin white duke from the station to station tour. the whole show is kicking and his band consisting carlos alomar on guitar and dennis davies on drums is the best band he ever had I think. peace/manki

Thanks, everyone! Especially Aaron...damn!
I think I'll pass on the 2-CD Best Of set...although I own all of Bowie's studio shit (with the exception of most b-sides), this doesn't have very many rarities on it. I didn't expect it too, anyway. Plus, it mostly repeats the old "The Singles" 2-disc set from Ryko. All recorded copies of "Dancing in the Street" should be buried 40 feet beneath the surface of the moon, under layers of Anthrax spores and razor blades. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

i strongly suggest getting the double cd GH for one main reason. remastering! these tracks will be almost on par with the stones remasters.
i also strongly suggest buying the double DVD GH that comes out two weeks later. all bowie's vids are on it, along with a lot of rare and never-before-seen footage. now i know what this is all about. now i know exactly what i am.

I'll pick up that DVD for sure...been eagerly awaiting that one... As far as the GH set goes, is the remastering supposed to be better than that of the Virgin reissues a few years ago? The song is about trying to kick drugs so I think the video matches quite nicely.

i just got back from the hammersmith gig in london,BOWIE was awesome, brilliant, the best gig yet,,he did moonage daydream,,lot of LOW..and he did an amazing version of ..."THE BEWLEY BROTHERS"..BOWIE MUST KNOW PRINCE is suppose to be on tomorrow, and boy as BOWIE set the purple one show to follow,im on here trying to get a ticket for prince on tuesday at manchester 8th oct,i worship BOWIE and like prince alot,,but after that gig tonight from BOWIE.. i wouldnt be surprise if a lot of artist quit the buisness, just when they think they are getting as good as the master BOWIE..he just winks an eye and takes it to a new level, leaving them all in his wake..to go there tonight with obvious expectations of something special,BOWIE..just simply surpassed any sort of pre concert gossip of what would happen,i was there,i saw it and whats so scary about it all, even at 55 years old,you get the feeling there,s a lot more to come from messiah of music.
love on ya. jamesd45@hotmail.com so if anyone has a ticket spare for tuesday.8th oct, manchester apollo,,e-mail me or post on here. by the way after the amazing rendition of "THE BEWLEY BROTHERS"..BOWIE COMMENTED THAT THEY WOULD PRACTICE AND GET IT PERFECT FOR NEXT YEAR...A BIG HINT,,SAVE YOUR CASH AND GO AND SEE THE MASTER.
