(July 16) - Yet another celebrity has fallen victim to dehydration. Not Lindsay Lohan and not Nicole Richie. This time, former Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland collapsed on stage in Lagos, Nigeria, where she was promoting her new album "Ms Kelly."

Rowland collapsed early Sunday while performing as part of the ThisDay Music Festival. The cause of the fall was dehydration, according her publicist, Yvette Noel Schure.

In an email, Schure told CBS News' The ShowBuzz that "Rowland was taken to an undisclosed Lagos hospital for a check-up and is in good condition at present."

Footage of the frightening fall later showed up as a video on YouTube.com, but has since been removed from the site.

The singer, dressed in a yellow costume surrounded by similarly dressed dancers, is signing away, her image projected on a jumbo-screen behind her, when she suddenly falls to her knees and then hits the stage.

Schure said Rowland, 26, is doing well and is expected return to the U.S. Monday to continue promoting her album.

Dehydration, eh? Maybe Gatorade should start sponsoring these gals, then they'd have a steady supply of fluids!

I know it sounds nutters, but I actually don't believe this chick is on drugs. I've seen her before, she's too 'clear', and actually comes off as the 'meek (former) ugly duckling with the beautiful sister that has it all' type...

It's just an opinion, but I do believe however a need to live up to the Knowles' expectations, Beyonce's success from whose shadow she shall probably NEVER emerge, esteem issues due in partial thanks to the image demands of show business...I could see other possibilities. Like maybe not eating very much while working herself half to death with that slavedriving schedule her adopted family, er um, I mean management bestows upon her...

Having been to Lagos before, it is very hot and humid and many places don't necessarily have air conditioning, therefore if she collapses on stage it could have everything to do with hydration more than anything else.

Well I'm glad to hear that she's doing alright now.

dehydration is no joke.

I've been ill from being dehydrated. Its believeable since she doesn't probably eat right.

now i see why Bouncy kicked them girls to the curb--they can't keep up with her.first michelle cracks her ass on 106 and Park, now this with Kelly.

She cancels at least one show a tour for something like that.

Why don't these young women eat? It's so ridiculous. Sure, we all want to be thin and beautiful, but the reality is that if you don't eat and drink, you'll get sick.

Hot ass weather, hot lights on stage, who knows when she ate last or had enough water - mf's have to plan for performances like it's an athletic event. Take it seriously, fuel your body & for God's sake turn your mic ON

Besides all the dehydration bits, Kelly actually surprised me with a solid album this time around...

I seen this on the news this morning. I was like WTF. I thought the cause was probably exhaustion.

This solo thing is not working out.

Scary stuff. I hope she takes this as a cue to take better care of herself.
