Erasure - Light at the End of the World - I suppose I'll start the thread!

I am shocked no one has started a thread on Erasure's new album. If you are/were a fan, this is a great disk. Very upbeat and majestic. Reminds me a lot of Chorus/I Say x 3. I had fallen out from them since Erasure, even though I got Cowboy. Never heard Loveboat nor Nightbird (which I hear is good).

It's not their best album, nor are they breaking ground, but it is a decent album that really grows on you. No real stinkers on the album either.Stand Outs for me are

Sunday Girl
Sucker for Love
Storm In a Teacup
Darlene
When a Lover leaves you (which I am entering the remix contest for that)
Glass Angel

I purchased the LTD Edition, which is in nice packaging and has 2 bonus tracks. Amazon already sold out of this item. Thank goodness I got mine.

I thought of you when I read about the Remix Competition nod
I downloaded the samples but I'm not taking part in it. Wouldn't know how to redface

I've been a fan forever (even before they were a group smile ) and, of course, I like this one too thumbs up!
though it's not the same anymore. Their last great album for me was 1995 Erasure

Oh, I bought the limited edition too and also the singles from iTunes, mainly for the B-sides
Two more new tracks so far:
I Like It and Take Me On A Highway

It took me a long time to get into Erasure(the album) and now it's one of my favorite. Thomas Fehlman helmed that album, so of course it would be like it is.

Yeah, I am doing the remix as part of the Sound Capsule as opposed to doing something solo. We have more recognition as a duo than either of us solo. We have it almost done...though it is way more beaty that I'd like and a few comments have been the percussion is a bit off or something. I'll be cracking at that tonight. We figure that most will be offering a dance version of the song, and I want to go a little sideways with it and appeal their slower side (ala Erasure). I imagine a lot of what they'll be getting is generic Garage Band dance remixes using the samples given. I'll post it when I am done.

How are the B-sides? I am not big on the remixes from them these days, as a lot of it is very epicly gay sounding (or at least I imagine it to be so) But have been thinking about getting the 7" vinyls of them (I take it you're talking about ICFILWY and Sunday Girl).

Those boys need to release their B-Sides in a box set.

Good luck with the remix thumbs up! Can't wait to hear it! (I don't think you should post it before the comp ends or you could get into trouble)
PS: Though you can trust ME mr.green I won't share

Orgnote on the way smile

About the B-sides I just wish they kept releasing their Single Boxes pout
The last one only got up to abba-esque from 1992.
