Court & Spark - Joni This album just gets better with age. Controversial maybe, but my favourite joni album, it's got everything! The songs just flow into each other. You get lost in the music and it's over before you know it.
Beautiful! No child is bad from the beginning. They only imitate their atmosphere. | |

Prince was once quoted saying that this is the only album that he loves start to finish (or something like that...my memory fails me!) and it is easy to see why. No child is bad from the beginning. I've listened to 'Blue' nearly every day for a month now. Ok, I'm sorry hardcore Joni fans, but I hate most of the 'Blue' album. It's too overpraised and when I hear it, I just don't see what the critics praise it for. As for 'Court & Spark', it is just an extraordinary record. It's a concept album about the ups and downs of love, sorrow, insecurity, and lonliness. I also love the fact the with this album, she totally expanded and explored on pop and jazz territory to appeal an even more diverse audience. No wonder it's her best-selling album. But my personal favorite Joni album has to be Hissing Of Summer Lawns. HEJIRA is a good one too! Check me out and add me on:
