Bring back Rene?!? eek Oh, well I guess his backstabbing shouldn't matter as long as she'll have a MAYBE hit working with his "poor me" behind. I'll do the intelligent thing and will reserve judgement until her new material is released. biggrin

L.A. Reid is gonna steer Janet in the same boring, predictable R&B direction that her midget boyfriend would. He's gonna pair her up with the same, tired producers that everyone else in R&B works with....he's gonna have Jay-Z rap over a track or two....he's gonna make sure her CD is filled with midtempo "urban" grooves that go absolutely nowhere.

there's nothing wrong with a good Rnb album. obviously you don't like rnb. Janet has always had rnb albums expect for maybe all for you. that's the music gener she does. nothing wrong with that. did anyboy ever tell Luther, Arthea, and ect to stop making "boring " rnb albums . as long as the music is good I don't see the problem.

The "problem" is,most of today's R&B music sucks ass lol There's no creativity there and everyine works with the same four or five producers. Most of it is really just tired hip-hop beats anyway. It's not even genuine R&B anymore.

"that's the music genre she does"

But,don't you want her to branch out and try something new? Do you really want your favorite artists to stick in one genre?

I agree with what you're saying. But, Janet has NEVER stuck to one musical genre. Not even when she made her first lp, JANET JACKSON. When i think of, COME GIVE YOUR LOVE TO ME, I think of rock, although it could definitely go into the pop category. YOUNG LOVE and SAY YOU DO which made me a fan of her music (SAY YOU DO) could easily be R&B or Pop. Well, to me anyway. lol

honestly, if this album doesn't have excellent tracks, she might as well focus on movies and acting instead because I think that's where her heart might be now.

Correct me if iam wrong but didn't she say that acting comes before singing.
And her father wanted her to be a singer, while she wanted to to act and become a jocky.

that is so true and a lot of people overlook this fact. Before making control she decided she wanted to go in the musical direction because she had the determination and all for it, but it seems to have taken a backseat now because her career is full of hits and misses. Some of her current work is alright but most of it doesn't do much for me
