Uh! I'm confused here! Are we talking about funk or pop, because no way in hell is Anthony Hamilton funk. And when has Michael made a funky song. OK, I'll bite because I grew up in the 1970s and early 1980s; What makes George Clinton's "Atomic Dog" an odd choice? I also have an uncle who is a hardcore P-Funk fan and his favorite song from that enclave is "Atomic Dog."

Of all the songs that seem odd from the thread originator's list, IMO the one that stands out is Cameo's "Word Up!"

Agreed. I see your point. Funk is definitely a feeling and there's no way getting around that otherwise butts booty! wouldn't move to the groove . And If anything, Sista Big Bones would be about as Funky as Hamilton gets thus far.
