I didn't see Ch. 13 (nor do I want to, lol)

But Ch. 14 was a comedy of errors:

Cathy: Whatever... how come you didn't told me you was married to Gwen?
Sylvester: Well first of all, between the fake wigs and fake names, how the hell was I supposed to know that Gwen was your friend, bitch, I don't...
Cathy: Here comes the waitress again.

Then later:
Sylvester: I thought the plan for me was to come in your home and get caught?
Cathy: It was.
Sylvester: Well what ha-
Cathy: I change my mind.
Sylvester: I'm getting out of this motherf*cker 'cause you wasting my time.
Cathy: Wait, please don't go.
Sylvester: Well goddamn it talk to me.
Cathy: You wouldn't understand (sobbing)
Sylvester: Try me.
Cathy: (Sobbing...IN RHYTHM!!!!!)
Sylvester: Cathy?
Cathy: Yes?
Sylvester: Try me.

I swear, the whole thing with Twan and the waitress and Cathy and Sly trying to set their lovers up was just... I don't understand the story at all anymore.

I thought Cathy and Gwendolyn were the ones who plan this. confused

Rrah's gonna have a lot of explaining to do.

Everybody thinks it's a comedy except R. Kelly and his fans.

I thought I was in the minority of those that thought this trapped in the closet saga is pure garbage. In my opinion this mess has destroyed any credibility he thought he had as an artist.

I can't believe people even enjoy watching it, even his true fans....

Timmy I haven't a clue what the story is anymore either. I just enjoy the random surreal aspect to it all.

But you know the original "Trapped..." series was the entire reason his '05 album, "TP.3 Reloaded" sold over a million (none of the songs on the album released as singles were really hits). "Double Up" is around 650K or something like that but it hasn't sold a million yet.

I think "Trapped in the Closet" has become a new source of income for him besides probably his tours. Even when he came back with a "hit" like "I'm a Flirt", he didn't have that commercial sting that he had just three years prior.

No one talks about his singles but "Trapped..." is often debated for various reasons.

Actually if you check your facts every R. Kelly album goes platinum. The album wasn't top notch but you make it sound as if he always flops or something...

Sure it scanned platinum but it didn't sell platinum...yet. Plus I consider an album selling gold to be an accomplishment, I'm just stating that he ain't selling like he used to. I know he ain't flopping. lol

Record companies are known to ship an artist's album sales to the RIAA, in terms of how many people that actually bought it, the RIAA will tally up that and how much the label shipped copies to them, then they make a certification based on those facts. According to Soundscan, R. Kelly's still around the 650-700K range but the RIAA saw to it that "Double Up" did 1 million in shipping/scanning. In that sense that's why the album was certified platinum. He ain't the only one though: ask Prince or Janet. Their recent albums (with the exception of "3121" and "Planet Earth") have scanned platinum. I think "Musicology" actually did sell over 1 million while "Damita Jo" is closing in on it and "20 Y.O." is around the sales "Double Up" is at right now. Just to make comparisions. wink

As GAWD Awful as Trapped In The Closet is, I still can't believe that R.Kelly lobbied to get this piss poor video garbage nominated for some kind of award. I can't remember which one it was. But the only one that should've taken him seriously would be the Rasberry awards.
