"The Tracks Of My Tears" by Smokey Robinson
Not many songs match this sort of standard both musically(sweeet!) AND lyrically (poignant & poetic). Of course, Smokey sings it beautifully 2, which always helps! U'd need 2 b made of stone not 2 find it touching; even a ballad of the highest calibre (eg.adore) is not as deeply emotionally affecting 2 me. Please don't bother trying 2 tell me u think it's "cheesy"; i've heard it all be4 many times down the years. I'm as entitled 2 my opinion as the next man/woman. | |
