It wasn't. They produced R&B Junkie, however. She needs to work with those Swedish dudes again. They saved it because JD, one of the the shittiest mainstream producers in history, dominated the record. Get It Out Me was hot but too short. And JD was fucking lazy, having already used that sample for LL Cool J's Control Myself in the same year. damita jo had strong tracks as well but some of them were too short or sounded too rushed and there were some songs that would have been better left off
Damita Jo could have been a great 12-track album. [Edited 7/12/07 9:58am] more like 10 track damita jo sexhibition strawberry bounce all nite r&b junkie i want you like you don't love me put your hands on spending time with u could this be love I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

She has had 2 major flops in a row. I look for Def Jam to do promotion for Janet similar to the way they did with Mariah's "Mimi" cd. They are going to have a sexy video and a solid album. I don't think LA Reid would have let 20yo come out as it was. He would have had Jermaine, Jimmy and Terry rework almost every track. maybe 20yo was a Fuck Off album to Virgin? Contractual obligation.

I really do think she and JD made somethin' with '20YO' and it backfired...plain and simple...why would she risk anymore career missteps at that point? ..just my 2 cents Every minute of last night is on my face today....

The R&B singer-songwriter had also told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch last month that he was scheduled to work with her sometime this year. ***** Monday, July 09, 2007 Producer Syience working on Janet's new album Up-and-coming producer Syience is working on tracks for Janet's new album, he told SOHH.com in an exclusive interview. The Flint, Michigan producer is best known for working on tracks for Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Ne-Yo, who had also been previously reported to have been working on a new project with Janet. Aside from Janet, Syience is also currently working on new projects with Alicia Keys, Cee-Lo Green, Lupe Fiasco, and Amy Winehouse, among others. The current list of producers whose names have been mentioned in conjunction with Janet's new album include LA Reid, Ne-Yo, Jazze Pha, Pharrell Williams, and Syience.
