Flight of the Conchords: a surprisingly funny new HBO series!

So I decided to watch this new show on HBO yesterday to see why the critics are hailing it the new musical comedy hit. I can see why now. It really is funny. I'll even daringly go as far as saying it's funnier that Tenacious D. That's my best comparison.

For those that don't know, this is a musical/comedy program on HBO about a folk duo from New Zealand who move to NY to pursue their musical ambitions. Brett (the handsome rugged one) and Jermaine (the nerdy Mick Jagger-looking one) use a lot of silly banter and stuff in their dialogue. The musical numbers in the sketch are hilarious too. lol I love that one where they're doing their music video where they're dressed like robots. lol

i heard them being interviewed on NPR and they talked about how a girl asked them to do a three-way...and they agreed not understanding the slang she was using. they said they made an episode about the experience...

and now that i see their faces i am a bit jealous of the girl. drool

I seen it with the volume turned down (I'm not downing it by any chance. It just came on while I was falling asleep and I like to keep it low.) a few days ago on "HBO" after that episode of "Entourage" went off. Anyway, I heard some funny parts in and out of bounds while waking up and falling back asleep with the television still on. I had seen the guy with glasses on top of this hot girl that I remember being from this total drag of a spin-off series from a movie that "Alicia Silverstone" was in. I think that it was called "Clueless", but I don't know for sure. Anyway, the girl was all like, "Is that all?". Only to have the guy reply while singing out, "I know. You can't get enough. But that's all for tonight, honeh!," or something like that. I forgot how exactly it went, but it was pretty funny.

Yeah, I believe that was on the first episode where Jemaine tried to get with that girl (who actually did play Cher on the TV version of "Clueless"). But then she dumped him when she really wanted an Australian guy. lol

I love this show.. It's so hilarious.. Better than Tenacious D IMO, and the guys are better looking too.. batting eyes It always cracks me up, cause Jermaine looks like Benicio Del Toro.. lol

I've also seen their love performances.. Eg. songs like Jenny, and David Bowie song.. They're awesome!!

She’s So Hot…Boom!

Oh my god, she’s so hot
She’s so fucking hot, she’s like a curry
I gotta tell her how hot she is
But if I tell her how hot she is she’ll think I’m being sexist
She’s so hot, she’s making me sexist
.....bitch
