The Right Stuff (or, The White Stuff as me and my brothers called it) wasn't the joint back in the day. lol But Please Don't Go Girl was good shit. Other than that, shrug I liked Step by Step. That's about it.

"please don't go girl" is the shit!
But it's the only NKOTB that gets any sort of itunes rotation here.

Love that song though!

Step By Step is a better song than most uptempo tracks any subsequent boybands released.

surprisinly, their last album in 94 titled NKOTB was their best, even though it sold jack shit.

It had some great songs on there, every song seemed to have tight production,
and several of them were done by Teddy Riley. A bit of new jack swing mixed with R&B.
The Teddy riley cuts were quite good believe it or not.

I was a HUGE NKOTB fan in my teenage years and had some of the best times in my life during that time period. I associate them with happiness, I know it sounds really crazy but I made my parents keep a lot of my VHS tapes and CD's and a few times a year when I want to regress into a giggling schoolgirl I'll pop them in the VCR and feel all those warm fuzzies I used to get back in the day. On the most part the music sucked but they did have a few really good jams that I've popped into my itunes.

Baby I believe in you - This video turned my 14 yr old ass into a crazy maniac. Jordan totally blew my mind for years.

I already know that I'm going to be made fun of and that's okay. razz

That's exactly how I feel. Jason Donovan has a similar impact on me too. Rubbish that I liked as a kid but have nothing but happy memories attached to them.

They had a song called "This One's For The Children". My baby sister loved that song. Jordan Knight's vocals were woeful on that one.

New Edition was and still is the bomb. NK just had a different appeal. I still listen to NE out in the open unlike NK BUT if you listen to both of thier 1st albums they sound alike due to having the same producer. The 2 groups are alike in many ways but represent two different genres of music after the 1st album. NE is pure R&B and NK are Pop w/ a R&B influence. smile

still...NE...is still cool...the other guys....no cool points. I mean we could've admitted to "cooler" guilty pleasures than some damn NKOTB, guys!

...Even if Bobby is the butt of all NE jokes, he's still cooler than some damn Jordan Knight.

When I was 12, I was in love with Al B Sure during that era and gave a damn about some New Kids. I really was NEVER into them. But being a White female growing up in the Midwest that was into Hip Hop and Prince was enough guilty pleasure.

I gurantee you will never find a White chick from Omaha, NE that knows a random Big L verse or know the hook of every Sauce Money record. I'm just saying...maybe I was never built for some damn Pop Boy Band bullshit...

But there was that Color Me Badd album I had in 91.....that was only cause of New Jack City.....really.....

I never understood the hype back then and wondered what was so special about them that there were dolls of them. I liked their name and that's where it ended.
