I can't believe I missed that album.I just heard it sunday and had to purchase it for myself. What a great rock album!! It's fun, sounds fresh, has great playing and vocals.even a little experimental. This makes the third cd of theirs I have purchased. They are a really top band.

I need to pick this one up . QOTSA are one of those groups that snuck up on me. Looked up one day and realized that I had 3 of their cd's too. I wanna get 'Rated R' and their debut.

I really love this band. I find that they're kind of ripping off Radiohead in a lot of ways which is a little disappointing. Looking forward to their new disc though.

Oh yeah, try Rated R w/ weed and some headphones...

I started checking out Radio Head about 2 years ago and noticed it (being a QOTSA fan). Then went to the CDs and looked at the dates, Radiohead did it first.

It's more in a general sense, with the whole "art-rock" genre, well produced, well placed acoustic guitars...I just see too many similarities and Radiohead did it all first. It's like lets get high and listen to Kid A (for example: "Optimistic") and then let's make some music along that vibe.

This is not a slam on QOTSA, I've been a Josh fan since Kyuss, I've got all the Desert Session stuff and all of the B-Sides/Rarieties. They're pretty creative cats but I was just saying the Radiohead thing kind of disappointed me.

Where do you hear Radiohead in QOTSA? They sound nothing alike. confused

Great album, though. It's probably their most artistic and experimental. cool

What?

You mean to tell me no one ever got stoned and then went and made music before?

Well, I'm not selling it so don't apologize.

It's an observation and if it was one album I might go along with you but it's all of them so whatever.

How I could make a reference to this statement on a Prince messageboard, and have it go unnoticed, is completely beyond me.
