20 Year Anniversary of Appetite for Destruction! First of all I can not believe it's been that long. That was the first album I ever purchased with my own money as a kid. I actually didn't get it until 2 years after it came out but that album changed my life. I became a die hard music fan after that and was big into hair metal! This album is a true classic! Mr. Brownstone is a bloody masterpiece! Every track on that album is fire. If only Axl could get his shit tgether and stop being so lazy! Also, why haven't they re-released it with new packaging and unreleased tracks? There's a great story on G N' R in the new Classic Rock Magaizine. Go cop it yo!

Since you're the GnR guru, how did Slash(who's bi-racial) react to the lyrics in "One in a Million"?

Since you're the GnR guru, how did Slash(who's bi-racial) react to the lyrics in "One in a Million"? not much, he claimed that he wouldn't play it live, but he ended up playing it twice anyway. After you have JD in your belly, lyrics tend to lose their meaning I am a Rail Road, Track Abandoned

A larger-than-life masterpiece, the best metal/hard-rock album of the late 80's, and one of the best of all time. Sweet child O'mine is one of the best singles of the late 80's and Welcome to the jungle must be the best opening song of the history of hard-rock But all the other tracks are just awesome as well. Axl had an amazing voice then, and I love the chemistry between Slash and Izzy, the best dual-guitar attack since Keith Richards & Ronnie Wood.

Phenomenal band.
If UYI 1 &2 were a double album with a few songs cut off it would be the greatest album ever

I loved Appetite, felt Lies to be less than penomenal, and both UYI to be horrible sell out albums Le prego di non toccare la macchina per favore!

Since you're the GnR guru, how did Slash(who's bi-racial) react to the lyrics in "One in a Million"? i remember reading that he was against it but couldn't do anything which i personally believe is bullshit. he could have put his foot down or walked away from the band.
