New Kool & the Gang Studio Album Out 7/10

Read about it here: http://channels.isp.netsc...000001.htm

Nice to have them back after such a long absence, but does anyone hold out any hope for this one being any kind of return to form?

Peace,
Scott

I can't access the article confused but I'll say this: if JT Taylor isn't involved,I won't be buying it.He was their best lead singer. The two lead singers they have now aren't very good barf

KOOL + THE GANG PLAN COMEBACK

Soul supergroup KOOL + THE GANG are aiming for the pop charts again with their first album for 10 years.

The JOANNA hitmakers will release Still Kool this week (10Jul07) - their long-awaited follow-up to 1996's State of Affairs.

The new album features covers of Christopher Cross' Sailing and What's Happening Brother by Marvin Gaye.

It don't mention J.T.

I'm not liking the looks of this..at all.

I hate to break it to you guys but j.t taylor won't be a part of this
project. He was with them on their last studio project in 1996 and the band
still didn't fare too well. Salute to the ladies was a weak track.
They have another 23 year old lead singer jirman gordon who is a friend of
ronald bell's (now khalis bayyan) son.
Try this link and see if it works.

doesn't sound too promising sad

I remember when JT re-joined the band in the mid-90s for the album 'State Of Affairs'.They did a reunion tour but he left a few years later.I recall an angry interview he did several years ago, where he blasted Kool and The Gang's management. He said that the band was getting ripped off, that alot of shady things were going on with the managers.Unless those problems are dealt with,I don't think we will see another Kool and The Gang/JT Taylor reunion.
