I was checking out some cat named John Mayer yesterday. Damn....this cat is nice. What's his story? Are his cd's any good?

I really want to like John Mayer, but for some strange reason, I just can't appreciate him.

Well.... I guess it's because I wish people like Johnny Lang would get more "popular" acclaim.

He's just one of these artist I know I should really appreciate because it's obvious he's very talented. But there is something about him with which I don't "connect," and I don't know why.

ps...i don't mean to be crunchy but i am soo happy to have evolved during a time that i could appreciate tracy chapman, aimee mann, kate bush, ttd, ewf, black crows, michael mcdonald, sosband, sugercubes, the sundays, the cure and fluff pop like "five star" and never felt the holier then though "miss crabtree" phenom that so many up in this camp feel compelled to display.

if it feels good to me...then thats all that matters.

Mayer is a dime a dozen. I hope he cut Curtis Mayfield's family a check.



You asked if his CDS are any good. If you like easy listening blues music, and poor story telling then Mayer is the perfect artist for you.
