MADONNA (the album) kicks both of their asses.

But She's So Unusual is my pick of the two. Although I don't know what Cyndi and Madonna shows you all have been two, but in concert it's no contest. Cyndi is a bore except for her old tunes. Well, note a bore, but compared to a Madonna concert...

And put them both up there with an acoustic guitar and see who wins. That's the true measure of what a great performer is. Take the pyrotechnics, stagecraft and choreography away from Madonna and you're not left with much of anything.

As proof of that here she is just a few short months ago on the Rosie O Donnell Show doing True Colours.

She's So Unusual, for sure, although Madonna owns them both.

CYNDI LAUPER hands down...and puts on the best live show....love her love her love her....

Madonna's self titled is classic!

...

I agree Madonna's self titiled is very good,
her best and i don't think she will out do it.
EVER. But Cyndi's She's So unusual is the better.

I adore Cyndi. She would have done better in the 70s then in the 80s. She is the better musician but Madonna is the better entertainer.

I also think Madonna has handled her career better than most of her 80s peers, including Cyndi wink

I agree she handles her career wonderfully, but that doesn't make her anymore talented. In my opinion her originality stems from how average she is at practically everything.

madonna is the biggest thief in pop history. She has stolen from marilyn monroe, from gay house music from the 90's...even Vogue was stolen from the gay dance that gays did...

She's was the original timberfake

I also think the same, complete Marilyn wannabe always nicking something from someone, never has created something original and somehow gets credit for it all. She's a magpie, stealling whatever she likes.

SO UNTRUE! Her dancing, stage presence, and overall oomph for lack of a better word - plus her vision for putting a show together and stringing together a great setlist that flows - even just muscially - is awesome. Wrong wrong wrong lol but glad to see you back razz
I'll leave it alone babe...just be me
