But Tyrone's outfit looked like something that was in style 6 years before that. Like something straight out of a 71-72 blaxpoitation flick. It kind of reminded me of the episode when the late great Joe Simon came on and tried to look hip for the kids (huge permed afro wig, cape, huge flared pants and shirt)..I kind of felt embarrased for him (lol). For funkpill, I know who you're talking about, the one you said was Jackie Wilson's son was in that multi-colored shirt and red leather pants pop-locking in the middle. And when he was mouthing "I'm Coming Out", his mouth moved like Jackie's!

She must have been much more restrained vocally in the early days. Knowing that you're not a big fan of hers, I was wondering what you'd think of the performance. I like the song but the stage show was nothing special to me.

Abdul said: StarMon said: I saw this in the record store for 10 bucks, I already have the "You'll Like It Too" 12" inch single. How's the rest of the album Starmon? Well here's my take on it, It's nothing like Funkadelic, FYMAYAWF, Maggot Brain, Cosmic Slop, Standing On The Verge of Getting It On , LTITTS, Hardcore Jollies or TOKF, eras. it's almost lost in translation. ONUAG & UJWU were hybribs , and ESOWB went in another direction. It's its own thang. I actually dig this lp but i wouldn't pay 10.00 used or 20.00 sealed if i wanted the complete Connection & Disconnections LP.. most say it was a disgrace to the Funk-Mob. I know they were pissed off at george and did their own thang. If you can get pass the fact George has nothing to do with it you may like for what it is. It's not all bad, it's not the Funkadelic we grew.. well.. some of us grew up on, but neither is By Way Of The Drums. Connections And Disconnections Phunklords Witch: Shade I: The Proclafunktion/Shade II: The Infunktation/Shade III Youll Like It Too You said you have this so you know the drum intro as sampled by Eric B and Rakim - "I Know You Got Soul" Come Back Who's A Funkadelic Call The Doctor Funkadelic or Funkadelic by association project i dig better than than By Way Of The Drums. I dig It for what it is.
