Acerbic singer/songwriter Warren Zevon has been diagnosed with an advanced, untreatable case of lung cancer. The 55-year-old "Werewolves of London" singer learned of the diagnosis in August and has perhaps as little as two months left to live.

How sad. Strangely enough, I've actually bumped into him a few times in Los Angeles recently. Not that I know him personally, just that when I'm out and about with my girlfriend shopping, I've seen him hanging around in the stores, comfortably alone but quiet. He looks great though for his age! He just looks healthy, man.

I wish the guy the best and this certainly makes you wonder about your own mortality something thats been on my mind before reading this. Spotting him around town, I wonder, a personal sign (?) to keep healthy and love the ones close to you and live life to the fullest.
