Ours...The Band. Anyone hip? I don't think I've ever seen discussions here about the band Ours.
I just saw them down in Indianapolis on 7/1 and it was pretty amazing stuff. Their singer Jimmy Gnecco, has one of the best voices in rock today. IMO. Their music is kinda Jeff Buckely/Radiohead-ish (rock stuff). Just wondering if any around here dig them. Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.

I like what I've heard from them. Bought 'Distorted Lullabies' and was very pleasantly suprised. I agree with you on the Buckley/Radiohead similarities. Glad you enjoyed the show. From what I hear they have a pretty loyal fanbase
**sidenote** after reading your post I popped in "Distorted Lullabies. 'Sometimes' is playing and co-worker goes: "What's that depressing shit you're listening to?" A happy face, A Thumpin Bass, For A Lovin' Race. PEACE.

I prefer to call it melencolly.
The only have 2 albums out. "Distorted Lullabies" and " Precious". They have a 3rd album done and ready to go but are in talks with another label to get it released. The new one is produced by Rick Rubin. Apparantly he's a big fan so with him behind it maybe they can reach a wider audience. I met most of the band the night of the show and they were all very cool and down to earth. And they have 4 new songs on their myspace page. myspace/oursmusic. Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.

Me!
They were in Atlanta a month ago and unfortunately I couldn't go because I was working. But one of my not-so-easily-impressed friends said it's one of the best shows she's ever seen. I only have "Distorted Lullabies" but it's an incredible album!
