That's one of the best live videos i've seen! Great solos from Clapton and Lenny's singing is top notch.

What is it that you hate so much about the performance?

In a word, Lenny. He is a soul less poser and while trying to make this tune his own, turns the song into a bad cover. Oh yeah, I'm a Lenny fan but not with this.

Then, while I respect Slowhand, guitar solos have there place and it's not the entire song, add chords and back-up to the song rather than one long solo, he had a hard time not playing over the vocals.

why would slowhand play rhythm guitar when lenny and lennys guitar player are playing chords?

Well I like it but I respect your view. I do agree with you about Claptons solos though. I think he overdid it a little and should have saved a big one till near the end, with a few fills here and there the rest of the song.

or

I love erics Woman Tone on this its so pretty but err...
It just doesn't fit well with the song
im so use to it being so dirty like Jimi's version
though i think Dylans version will always be superior

wonderful tone. looks like Eric's playing one of his old Signature models with the Lace Sensor pickups.

But it's a bit overdone. During his solo, EC looks over at LK as if he's surprised to see him there... lol

I'm sooo tired of mutherfuckers fuckin' up Jimi's songs. I really am. That shit is STERILE. Technically, there's nothing wrong with it but it has no life! Dry as a bone.

Clapton's cover of "Little Wing" is the same way... reproducing the notes, but lacking the magic...

Agreed. Stevie Ray Waughn actually does a decent job with Hendrix covers, but if you want the job done right, look no further than:
