Didn't P have a song called "Real Love"? (lol)..I remember seeing that clip on Arsenio back then and El did his thing. Was that his brother singing backup?
P and El supposedly wrote a song together back in the early 90's so they're probably cool w/ one another. Good to hear that El straightened out some personal things in his life and is back to playing music.

Real Love was newjack swing-ish; nothing like Prince. It just had a phat bass line.
It doesn't matter who started making music first as we all know Prince has switched styles many times and borrowed from many people, although I'm not implying that this was one of those cases. Bobby (R.I.P.) could sing circles around El and Prince.

After seeing the clip I knew you did, seeing him bat his eyes and all that. I'm surprised he didn't fall sliding around doing that James Brown dance he was doing.

Here we go again .....Switch was a fantastic group ....El Debarge has one of the most smoothest voices you would want to hear .....But people please open your ears and see that the world is full of talented singers, song writers and musicians .....Dare I say ....Better than Prince .... I fully understand that this is a Prince website but the worship of him is getting weird .....
almost cult like ..... Youth is wasted on the young .....

almost cult like ..... Everytime I hear the name "DeBarge", I sadly can really only associate it with the likes of "Chico DeBarge" who tried his way into the nineties and failed.....badly. I also heard something about the guy beating a woman he was once with and serving some time for it. I mean, his voice was pretty good, I guess. But, he didn't get anywhere with his career.

Chico served time for drugs not beating some broad and he had a nice comeback album in 1998 with Long Time No See, since then he's had 2 follow-up albumns to little fanfare. nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher
