Info on Janet Jackson forthcoming album

I've read this a forum i go to. I still can't get the source of this info.

*first month and half has basically them in conference mode

*Janet was very vocal in telling everybody what she wanted and the sound she wanted. she said she wanted a "darker sound" for the album and she wasnt interested in making anything close to what was on the radio today....

*some points JD and Janet seemed to be bumping heads and JD would say one thing and Janet would say another

*they've recorded 6 songs (one titled "Can You Hear Me Now") and were in post production for 2 songs one which was submitted by Polow Da Don and the other by JD, L.A. Reid and Ne-Yo called "Seduction ( What U Do)"
He said J and L.A. brought up the idea of naming the album "Forever Janet" but wasnt sure if it was final

* they were lined up to start working with JD all of the upcoming week and he's been with him mixing his instrumentals along with another engineer who came with Jermaine. the songs produced so far were midtempo and one resembled "That's The Way Love Goes" and he believes it has a sample of the song in it's chorus. The other beat he said was kinda bland and boring and only and deep low toned like moaning sound.....

i hope and pray this is not true.. janet jackson needs to stay away from any of this messed up music that is being made today... the songs are not as good especially Rap and hip-hop today.. can't compare to what it was like in the 80's and 90's...

omg,all I needed 2 read was that she was looking 4 a darker sound! The Velvet Rope is one of my favorites and definitely a dark sounding album...I mean even the happy upbeat songs had a dark undertone 2 them, excited cant wait!

I know that this is all rumors, but PLEASE GOD, don't let this be true. C'mon, Janet, the upbeat dance songs are your bread and butter. JD isn't going to do a damn thing for your career. Wake up and realize this!

I'm gonna pray that these are all rumors! Janet needs a complete new sound and image. I am getting truly tired of this whole sexual avatar she has established herself as for almost a decade. If JD can make a hit comeback with Mariah's Emancipation of Mimi, I know he has or had the potential to help Janet produce a more classy and edgy album. He tried to do it with 20 Y.O., but I couldn't feel that originality or flair that it was hyped up to have. Janet needs to simply do a complete album with her classic team of producers (Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis) and make that true project we have been waiting to experience. Let's just see what this "dark" album is going to prove in 2008.

I agree, i really believe Janet should keep her career and personal life seperate but she's so in love with JD for some reason lol to realize that she's WAYYYY better off without him interfering with her music

I'm going 2 say this one more time. If JD is involved with her new cd on ANY level, it will NOT be worth listening 2.

I'm happy about it being a dark album, but she needs to keep JD far, far away from her musical projects! He works fine with other artists, but isn't cut out to work with janet at all. The only songs of hers I love that he did are Get It Out Me and Do It To Me

I love that´s the way love goes. If her album will be like that. I might even like it.

As the dark side of it, it doesn´t go with janet to me. We´ll see.

well that's certainly encouraging.

but then again, she always wanted to do a brazillian jazz album and name it "DamitaJo"... and we know how that turned out confused

also, "Forever Janet"? How many times can she work her name into the title of her albums? that'll be the 5th one.

FOREVER is a horrible title for an album...it's also bad luck...P Diddy and Spice Girls had albums entitled FOREVER and they were huge flops...

JD and Janet need to realize they just dont 'mesh' well musically...she needs to get with Jam & Lewis and work with them....

"Word is that Janet Jackson has booked three months of studio time in Miami to record her new CD. After the chilly reception that 20 Years Old received, Janet is trying to stage one more comeback.

Miss Jackson will apparently be working on this new disc with her honey Jermaine Dupri once again. However, JD didn't accompany JJ down to MIA. Instead, Def Jam big dog L.A. Reid went for the ride, further fueling speculation that Janet is headed over to Def Jam. Hey, if they can turn Mariah Carey's once down-the-toilet-bound career around, maybe they can work the same magic for Janet?"

if there's no bad blood betwee them,

why not Janet ask Madonna to collaborate on some songs?

the worst she can say is "NO" and keep it movin'

It's too late now. If they were to collaborate, the early 90s had to be that time. Now it would be 2 aging pop stars trying to make it big again. No sense in doing so. Janet needs to leech onto some younger blood.
