All of a sudden AMERIE has become a UK artist, its funny when her video for "Take Control" was shown on the IMF channel it listed AMerie as being from the UK, and she has now said she may start residing in the UK. Hmmm Very Tina Turner like, and not just her great Legs! Ameries new Video for her second single "Gotta Work" premiered in the UK and now can be seen on AMERIES homepage that is funded by Amerie and her fans 100%. Her cd is doing well overseas, thanks to AMeries endless promo stops in England,Italy and Japan and Korea where she is most popular, since she is Korean. The cd is set for a US release of August 21st, but who knows if that will happen, but Amerie has said that the US release might be different with tracks not on the UK version cause she knows that many of her US fans bought the Import and of course she did circulate 2 mix tapes with up to 30 tracks. Amerie can do NO wrong by me at this point, and this is coming from an artist that when her first cd came out I didnt really pay attention to her. It wasnt until 1thing and the Touch album that she won me over totally as an artist and a PERSON. People dismiss her as a Ciara-like RB mainstream female clone. WOW that is so off its not even funny, Amerie has more to do with her records/producing/writing than just about all the current HOT RB females put together, i dont see Ciara/Rihanna behind the boards and writing their tracks, i hear them talking about what producers they want because they are IN right now. To me Amerie is the opposite of Mainstream which is why you wont see her sell more than a GOLD record in the states, her style is exactly that STYLE, she isnt like other artists, and NO she isnt copying Beyonce, lets not get into that whole SONY theft issue, because we should all know that deal by now. Amerie is also a class act, she could very well bad mouth and put down the other ladies out there, and her label, but as she said "Music BEEF's are boring and useless" .
