Amazing Hendrix performance; MACHINE GUN!

One of Jimi's best. This has been discussed on here several times. This to me, is better than his Woodstock performance, overall. Love Star Bangle to death, but Machine Gun further demostrates why Hendrix was truly like no other. The man was so in touch with the cosmos that he could actually physically, take his playing there and LIVE there, while he was playing. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

I began appreciating his playing even more and more after this performance. It was electric. There's only a few that can even come close or scratch the surface of greatness and sexuality put into an axe solo. [Edited 6/28/07 9:35am]

I was listening to his Berkeley performance on my iPod last night. The opening chords send chills up your spine. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

When people talk about an artist being one with his instrument - this is the shining example here. Just amazing. When I was younger, the beginning used to scare me a bit - it was spooky. This and Voodoo Chile (Slight Return). My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth

Voodoo Chile was raw and sexy at the same time.

"Machine Gun" has always been one of my favorite Jimi cuts. There's one part near the end when Jimi gets into a deep whammy bar scoop and makes the guitar sound like a heartbeat. It kills me everytime I hear it. No racks, no processors, just a Strat and a stack w/ some pedals..true art.
I'm gonna have to watch this over the weekend. Brutha B is right (whazzup my man???)..Jimi just went there and lived it...Great clip. P.S. (Ms Legs..always good to see ya) (Jesse..I love your new track "Saturday Funk")
