I can't believe neither of my top 2 have been mentioned yet. A while back, I would've said "Isn't She Lovely," but now I have to go with "Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing." The reason should go without saying, but I'll play along: the song jams, the vocals are fantastic, and Stevie is absolutely hilarious in the intro.

Interesting, I always thought "Isn't She Lovely" a precursor to some of his more cheesy 80's material.

Agree with "Don't you worry 'Bout a thing" though!

I'd say that's my second fave, but I'm gonna have to go w/ "As" exclaim
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

Signed, Sealed, Delivered. Sort of a transition song for Stevie, I guess, and Bob Babbitt's bass line is so in the groove. I love the song. love

But it is kind of impossible to pick one.

Right now my favorite jam from Stevie Wonder is LOVE LIGHT IN FLIGHT. His voice is unexplainable. I was and still am in awe of that song. He kicked ass on that jam. It actually brings tears to my eyes. I think I'll listen to it right now. lol

nod Some people go overboard dissing the '80s stuff just because every song isn't perfect. Hell, "Skeletons" is one of the last major funky songs.

I agree. Allot of the best music EVER made was during the 80s decade to me. SKELETONS is a funky song! That intro don, don, don-don, don, don-don, don, don-da,da, da,don is quite catchy. lol

There's so many great ones, but all I can think of now is "It Ain't No Use". That one makes me wish I could sing like the man, even though I can't. But it's all good. cool

"Heaven is 10 Zillion Light Years Away"

This is simply one of THE most beautiful songs ever recorded.

i was waiting for someone to mention this one. it's lyrically thought provoking, crescendos into an almost gospel joint. it's Stevie's take on gospel. it captures humanity's preoccupation with negativity yet their disdain and disbelief in an afterlife. i think i PLAY Superwoman more than this one, but Heaven is probably my fave, this month.

I haven't heard that one in a while. I'll have to spin that one again. When I first heard it, I didn't really dig much of it because of it's dated production (circa 1995)

I spin some songs from that album, theres some really great stuff, like "Rain Your Love Down" is like a wall of Stevie's kind of like gospel soulful electric song, plus I can get my groove on to Edge of Eternity and Sensuous Whisper, though the latter doesn't 'jazz' like its supposed. I LOVE "I'm New" though, his voice is like candy on this one razz

'Never Had A Dream Come True'.

As a gay man, I found an unintentional resonance in the lyrics...

I never, never had a dream come true
In my every dream, Im loved by you

And were free as the wind
And true love is no sin smile
Therefore, men are men, not machines razz

I never, never had a dream come true
Without you, the world out there is painted shades of blue

Since our roads never crossed
I work just to please the boss
Think I might as well get lost in my dreams

Do do do do do.....

I never, never had a dream come true
Yes, Im gonna dream about you baby my whole life through

Seems my folks are ashamed neutral
Said I aint worth a thing sad
But Im glad Im chained to my dreams

Do do do do do.....

Keep on dreamin
Sing along with me
Keep on dreamin

Any of you oldheads out there remember Stevie singing "Superstition" on Sesame Street years ago? That was the first time I ever saw him perform, and I was blown away. And Big Bird and Grover were gettin down lol One of the most beautiful love songs ever written was "My Cherie Amour" I love that song! I also like the "King Holiday Song" (Happy Birthday To Ya!) "Do I Do", "That Girl" and "Tell Me Something Good" I know he wrote that for Chaka Khan but that song is FUNKY!!
